Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedevs off-air comments that Russian Presidents are given a secret file about extraterrestrials living among us created much media interest. Most news reports claimed that Medvedev was simply joking. His apparent reference to the Men In Black movie as a source of information on a super secret agency that monitors extraterrestrials on Earth was commonly cited as key evidence that he was in fact joking. The reasoning is that no political leader would refer reporters to a comedy to clarify national policy. It has now emerged that Medvedev was not referring to the Men in Black comedy after all, but to a recent Russian television documentary titled Men in Black that reveals many details about an extensive cover up of extraterrestrial life visiting Earth.
However, a more accurate translation of what Medvedev actually said about the Men in Black phenomenon was: You can receive more detailed information having watched the documentary film of the same name. So Medvedev was referring to a Russian documentary film titled Men in Black, not the Hollywood blockbuster by the same name...
Russian Men In Black (MIB) documentary, a number of prominent UFO cases in Russia and the USA are discussed. The Roswell UFO crash is covered, along with a number of extraterrestrial abduction cases, and UFOs disabling nuclear weapons facilities. The documentary examines testimony that extraterrestrial bases have been established on Earth, and that some are in restricted US military areas with the full knowledge of the Pentagon. The documentary even goes on to seriously discuss President Eisenhowers alleged meeting with extraterrestrials, where agreements were reached with some of the visitors giving them permission to take some of the Earths resources in exchange for advanced technology...

Checking in. Aliens? They’re everywhere!
LOL ... one of those bull by the horns moments.
Is the date, on the photo, accurate or is it a retake of a recent photo or long ago photo? Gee --- this is so confusing.
I didn’t even notice the date. But maybe it’s from Ethiopia ... I think it’s still 2006 there.
I’m 1/4 Native American. I’m only injun when I play cowboys and injuns with the kids. ;o]
I’ll say you owe your complexion to clean living and a pure spirit.
(I owe mine to sunscreen ;-).
I’m both sorry and happy for you. Ovaries can be nasty things that turn on you.
Hey, what’re you doing up so early?
That is a great tail, isn’t it?
Which tribe and which grandparent (if not being too intrusive).
Morning!
Scored at elibrary! Got a Milton Friedman audiobook and a basic electricity text that reputedly anyone with a cerebellum can internalize.
Missing you.
Awww... Thanks! :o])
My mother’s face was unlined when she died at 71. Her eyes were the very dark brown of her heritage, and my eyes are the lightest in the family.
I never bothered much about sunscreen when I was younger, but when I got a tan, I looked every gene of my Native coloring. I don’t spend a lot of time in the sun these days. I mostly sit in the shade where it’s warm. Ha-ha!
For so many years, while I was sleeping on the floor, I accumulated a lot of bedding for padding. Now that I have a bed, I will have to invest in Space Bag storage bags to stack all that stuff in the linen closet. Some of the bedding I made, and am loathe to part with it, so storing it in bags that can be made flat is the best I can come up with.
One of the lamps I was given has something wrong with it, so I will need to get a lamp kit and rewire the lamp. I also need to get smaller shades. It looks as though the lamps were originally from a living room, and have really wide shades. I’ll keep looking until I can find some taller, slimmer ones that will fit the corners better.
Tomorrow, I will work on the closets until I get them squared away. I just haven’t felt like it...
Lakota Sioux Clans. My mother’s family. Which explains why we can’t trace her ancestry beyond 1848.
My father’s parents came from South Africa. Sadly, I never met any of my grandparents.
I’m sure I’d admire it if it were mine.
Busy, busy!
My mother always got a very dark tan in the summer - people would think she was Indian or Mexican - until menopause. I remember her coming home from helping a friend with her craft booth at a show in Virginia Beach and saying, “Look at this - I got *sunburned*!”
I can only recall one sunburn, and that was when I was 16, and spent the last day of school at a resort north of Salt Lake City called “Lagoon.” I rode the roller coaster and swam most of the day, but it would seem only my back was burned.
Cool baking soda bath for me that night. LOL! That was the one and only time I got a sunburn.
I got Dad’s skin ... I’ve had some whopper sunburns. I’m very careful now. When I worked at Cub Scouts day camp two summers ago, I wore long pants, a long-sleeve shirt under my short-sleeve Official Camp Shirt, suncreen, and a big straw hat.
And I didn’t die from the heat, either, suggesting that the “need” for shorts and tank tops in summer is largely social.
Speaking of clothes and shamelessly bragging, I’ll be going to church in about half an hour in a full set of garments Elen wore when she was 12. (Back when she wasn’t a lot taller than I am ;-).
Go ahead...shamelessly brag about your weight loss! You’ve earned it!
There was a time when I wore a size 7...yah. I did. But since then, I’m most comfortable in a 12, though I have been known to get into a 10.
Since my dislocated shoulder I’ve put on weight because of the ibuprofin I’ve had to eat, but I’m working on getting that to drop off. A few more walks to Walmart may stimulate the old metabolism to do what it’s supposed to.
In the meantime, I’m envious!
The rare times I’ve gone to the track with busdaddy to be his pit crew in recent years, I have always had a long sleeved shirt and slacks for the hottest part of the day. And always, out here, I wear a hat in the summer.
