A committee at Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles has reviewed more than 1,800 vanity plate requests in the last 10 years. The ones that get rejected often have objectionable language, sexual innuendo and more. Sometimes, harmless ones -- like G8R H8R -- don't make the cut either. My late brother had a white Rabbit. He really liked that car, but he changed his cars like he changed his shirts. I think he had dozens of cars over the years. My favorites were the Stingray, the powder-blue Buick convertible, the Morgan, the Austin Healey, and the MG, but there were many more.

I have a Pinto. It’s a great little car, it has the gas tank retrofit, it’s a stick shift, and if TSHTF in the form of an EMT, it will be the only vehicle operating for miles around.
AND it’s blue and white. Something to do with “my favorite colors.”
