Why Obama Won
My fevered brain | 11/7/2012 | KK

Posted on 11/07/2012 11:12:51 AM PST by KosmicKitty

Many pardons but search does not appear to be working right now.

Since 3am this morning when I got up and checked the election results, I've been trying to figure out what happened. Mr. Kitty sent me a blog post that I really think explains why BO actually won a second term.

And while it may be combination of many things, I really do believe that the main reason Obama won is because of a dramatic change to the social structure of the United States.

Those of us old enough to remember the Carter presidency believed that, like Reagan's landslide victory, people would be so fed up with the economy, high gas prices, Middle East unrest, and so on, that Romney would win and win big. (When everything old is new again)

But what we didn't consider was the change in American culture that has happened in the last 30 years. Looking at the stats on the blog I have linked to, the largest group voting for Obama is single women, with or without children. In 1980, most women having children were married. now, women are marrying later or choosing not to marry at all whether of not they have children.

What we have now is a society where the traditional male role of husband/father has been supplanted by the government. 40% of all children are being born to single mothers, more than 70% if the mother is African American. America's voting population has experienced a dramatic change in the past 30 years.

What ever the cause, feminism, careers, etc., we have to face the fact that a large number casting their vote are looking at the government as a replacement for husband and father.

I really believe that it's not that Mitt wasn't conservative enough, or the evangelicals stayed home, or whatever. It's the fact that the voting population has changed and the majority of women voting aren't voting for a president, but are voting for government to support them.

If the republicans and/or conservatives want to win, they are going to have to find a way to address the issue of government as supporter/daddy for a majority of the women voters

Sounds pretty plausable, but there isn’t a damned thing we can do about it. The USA we used to know is gone, probably for good.

To me that’s the REAL question. Why low R-voter turnout?

I sure wouldn’t have thought it was the case after reading the voting precinct reports here on FR yesterday.

Just doesn’t make sense.

Precisely and excellent post. The progressive/communists didn’t go for the whole enchilada in one swoop.

They have been like terminates eating away at the core foundations and structures that built this wonderful and magnificent country.

Taking over the schools and directing the education of multiple generations of Americans. Controlling the media as to what message the masses need to hear.
Mandating the complete separation of church and state until the combining of them suits their purpose.
Growing unions in both the private and public sectors...and on and on and on.

The USA may look good from the outside looking in, but the structure is rotten to the core.

I will do all I can to prevent the terminates from taking over my home, my children and my community. I can’t control what others do, but I surely can try and raise my children with traditional (albeit...uncool as defined by the masses) morals and values, and I can control my own actions and behaviors.

Not only that. The faggots keep adopting and brain-wash them into being more libtardic than their freak “parents” so they add up the dirt in the gene pool.

last nights results have nothing to do with culture change- its people who are pissed off that the GOP does not fight for them the way many of us fight for the GOP/conservative values...

Mitt Romney himself was proof that the GOP would not fight for those values; rhetoric aside, his history shows that he's a liberal, socialist, statist.
Even before the primaries, the establishment (GOP Party [leaders]) had anointed him.

The reality is this: it is not Mr. Robinsons fault Romney lost, it is not Romney or Ryan's fault that they lost; they are both honest, decent, honorable men who are infinitely better qualified than Obama and Biden to run the country, and they both ran a solid, hard fought campaign.

The fault for failure does not lie with any of these people, the fault for defeat lies with America, and squarely upon the Americans who voted them into power. Nearly every decent, honest and honorable candidate honorable campaigns based upon traditional American values running for election on our side lost to evil, dishonest, dishonorable, godless, Marxist-Socialist opponents who were purposely chosen by the electorate INSTEAD of the decent, honest and honorable candidates running against them.

What happened? = America is under the direct judgment of Almighty God, that's what happened and will continue to happen.

Some are already playing the blame game but the reality is: The problem with the results of this election do not rest with Romney, nor Ryan, Barone or Morris. Romney and Ryan are honorable and good men (as men count goodness)and they ran an admirable, hard-fought campaign.

The problem rests with us, it is one of the heart and soul of America itself. We have forsaken Christ, and forsaken His Word. God did not have mercy and deliver us. I believe we are under the judgment of Almighty God as a direct result of our ongoing lawlessness, ungodliness and sin. He has given America over to our sin and degradation (cf. Romans 1:18-32)and we have reached the tipping point of no return as a nation. I do not want to say these things, it breaks my heart because I, along with millions of other believers love America, but God is not mocked:

"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. (Galatians 6:7-10) As a man sows, so shall he reap and we are reaping now what we have sown. Pray because at this point, the very existence and future of our nation rests in the hands and predetermined will of God. Romney, Ryan, no mere man or party can save America and her people, only the Lord Jesus Christ.

If the outcome of this elections stands (and it appears it has) and Obama gains reelection (and it appears he has), we are about to enter the refining crucible of Almighty God as a result of our sin and God's divine judgment as a nation and as individuals. The key is to know and stay close to/walk with the Lord Jesus in the midst of it all and to stay faithful to Him because things are going to get very bad from here on out. This was prophesied in the Word of God and we are privileged to see these harrowing events come to pass: "As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man." (cf. Luke 17:26-33)

Those of us who know the Lord Jesus must follow the injunction to: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall make your path straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

I wept, writing those words. It grieves my heart to say these things and to see what has become of our beloved country and to see God remove His hand of protection and blessing from America. The evil, wicked, dictator God has imposed upon us, and the utter shame and degradation which God has allowed to fester and cover the land from the top down, as a direct result of our rejection of Him and His Christ.

America is "Ichabod", ...the Lord has departed. That said, God is in control; all of this was prophesied and we are seeing it fulfilled before our very eyes.

Take heart, and find your hope and strength in the Lord Jesus Christ because He is coming back sooner than many people are willing to recognize or accept.

Nevertheless, not my will, but thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven. Even so, come Lord Jesus.

An older and wiser friend told me...Every behavior in the US is now acceptable and nothing is taboo. It’s to the point where nobody should have their feelings hurt or to be judged for their immoral choices.

This disaster is probably the result of many things but your point is likely one of them. Our culture is conditioned to the “entitlement” mindset. Who needs dads to support children, we’ll just live off taxpayers.

“address” doesn’t mean embrace. At least I don’t think that’s what was meant.

Definitely!! How do we get across to the 47% that they're the real losers here. How do we get back to the satisfaction of rewards from hard work. How do we get across to a generation, or more, of mostly women, that looking to the government to solve your problems is wrong. Not only wrong, but deadly to them and their children.

Who is the mostly likely victim of a violent crime? A young black man in an urban setting who grew up in a household with no male role model.

How can conservatives fight the evil propaganda that allowed a do nothing, no ideas, enslaver to win a second term?

Repeal “No Fault” divorce laws. For contested divorces, make the party initiating the proceedings forfeit any claim to the marital assets if they can’t prove fault by the other party. Eliminate child support and welfare for unwed mothers who are not rape victims. Eliminate child support altogether, as long as women have the option to terminate their pregnancy, but the men do not have the option to force them to do the same.

I heard a liberal woman say that people should vote for O to keep from losing more of women’s rights. It’s fearmongering, just like what Biden said to the African Americans in that one speech.

Plus, they want to “help poor people” and make things more “fair.” Makes me want to puke.

I think you need to grandfather child support. I would restrict child support to the number of kids you had when you applied and then no increase for more kids.

Perhaps we could get a waiver of father’s responsibility if they decide unilaterally to have the kid.

I think that is part of the reason, but only part - I think it was not just One Thing, but many things:

- the Media shilling for 0bama daily and in the debates
- lack of conservative voter turnout
- lack of evangelical voter turnout
- surpressed Military vote
- GOTV effort on the GOP
- months of negative ads against Romney through the summer prior to the nomination
- Hurricane Sandy coverage dominating the news up to the election
- Chris Christie’s man-love display for 0bama
- VOTER FRAUD (no ID, early voting, missing ballots, etc.)

All this added up to a slim victory, so I don’t think that the country is completely gone yet.

Everywhere I look, the internal numbers and break downs don’t make a lick of sense. I suspect a lot of voter fraud. Adding to Obama and subtracting from Romney. I’m not saying a little, I am saying a lot. And using both sophisticated and unsophisticated methods.

If Romney had real balls, he would analyze the fraud somewhat and use it as an excuse to challenge Obama’s eligibility (only one citizen parent).

The main reason we lost, the main reason freedom lost, is that there are now too many people in the wagon and not enough pulling it. I do think this may be the beginning of the end of civilization.

I agree 100% but I guess why I made this post was to fight. We certainly have the intelligence and drive, we just have to determine how to direct it.

I was up most of the night last night, thinking and praying. We suffered a big loss, but now is the time to analyze and determine a course of action that will get us out of this mess. We may have to wait four years, but we need to figure out how to address the problems now so we are ready in 2014 and 2016.

I am NOT going to give up!!

i don’t know that we ever had the media but lets be serious- does the GOP fight back???

i had this conversation with someone in the gym this morning and brought up the issue of See BS pushing fake documents to support a BS story on GWB’s national guard service- within 12 hours the story was out those documents were fake- thanks to Free Republic!!! the end result was people at See BS losing jobs....

have we seen any sort of pushback from the GOP like that the past four years?? why are they not demanding stephanie cutter be investigated for colluding with the PAC that employed Joe Soptic??? why are they not going after candy crowley for conveniently have the transcripts at the second debate (which was a lie)? yet somehow schieffer doesn’t have the transcripts of Romney’s op ed at the 3rd debate...any pushback or major protest from the GOP??? and on and on and on...

when it comes to the GOP and the media its like a battered woman who stays with the boyfriend/husband that beats them- if you don’t fight back hard in whatever way you can you will continually get the sh!t beat out of you...
