Good explanation. Any ideas on how to counter that in the future, or are we doomed to head down the path of oblivion?

How about voter/election fraud? Seems like the simplest answer to me.

If the republicans and/or conservatives want to win, they are going to have to find a way to address the issue of government as supporter/daddy for a majority of the women voters

If we do that, what makes us different?

I think before we start discussing changing trends and demographics as the reason behind Obama's apparent victory, we have to look at what happened on the ground yesterday, and why the vote totals were so off. It's highly unlikely that the reputable analysts and pollsters could all be so far off.

Even though we didn't have the candidate we wanted, the message was good, and Republicans were excited. We should see this defeat as a reason to abandon any of that, but to look into fighting election fraud and other insidious liberal tactics.

40% of all babies born in US are now bastards.

Latino now a solid Dem voter block. All those food stamp ads in Spanish? Now Dem voters.

Younger voters are brainwashed libtards. Social conservative issues alienate them.

It’s bad and will only get worse. Third world America in 40 years or less.

we lost because the GOP is feckless and weak...they let the rats and media carry the narrative that the Tea Party was racist, there was a war against women in the GOP, the GOP hates illegals for 4+ years now and never fought back...

as far as a change in culture; if Romney got the same number of votes as George Bush in ‘04 he likely wins...if he got the same number of votes as Mclame in 08 there’s at leadt a recount.... obamugabe barely got 50% of the vote and was 7mill below his tally of ‘08...

last nights results have nothing to do with culture change- its people who are pissed off that the GOP does not fight for them the way many of us fight for the GOP/conservative values...

“address” doesn’t mean embrace. At least I don’t think that’s what was meant.

Originally, that's what I thought too, but the info about the populations voting for BO made me re-think the fraud thing.

Not to say that voter fraud didn't happen, but I think the changing demographics had a much greater impact.

1. Changing U.S. demographics and more dependent people who see government as the answer.

2. White women. For sociological reasons some white women were less concerned about the economy and more focused on personal rights, etc.

3. Media bias - no coverage of the Obama miscues. Media in general became outright advocates of Obama.

4. Sandy-the storm. Presidents do very little but tie up traffic in the aftermath of a storm. The media gave Obama a 4-5 day bump in the polls.

5. Chris Christie-and his "man-love" moment with Obama. The bellicose Governor seemed confused and petulant when confronted with his going way-to-far performance as a lap dog to Obama.

6. Candy Crowley - in the third debate for making the wrong call on the President's remarks when the President looked like a deer in headlights. Obama was rescued by Crowley.

7. Romney campaign for not building a better ground game in Ohio and in other swing states.

8. Chief Justice John Roberts. His chosen moment in history became the death knell for those opposed to ObamaCare. The remaining firewall became the election.

9. The Obama campaign for scaring people more effectively than Romney. Romney ran on more positives than Obama.

10. Us. The Romney supporters could we have done more?

Apparently, the occupants of the geographical entity once conown as the “United States” simply have collectively decided they cannot stand prosperity.

Or at least a majority of those who voted seem to believe.

A short photo-op with Governor Christie of New Jersey is apparently the one thing that stuck in people’s minds as they went to the voting booth. That was conclusive proof that the Current Occupant was “compassionate”.

Nothing else seemed to much matter.

The main reason we lost, the main reason freedom lost, is that there are now too many people in the wagon and not enough pulling it.

I do think this may be the beginning of the end of civilization.

Agree with you on this. If our voters were committed to winning, we would have won BIG. Hell, there were even a significant percentage of freepers that didn’t vote for our candidate!

Democrats are better at getting their core constituency out to vote. Simple as that. They're more likely to use scare tactics to do so.

the Democratic ground game is succeeding in getting their voters to take the actions necessary to cast a vote for the President, while Republicans are not keeping pace.

Republicans believe that if they send out the right message, it will motivate people to get out and vote.
