I say legit
I have seen too many play the “Single Mom’ Card. They try to wear it like a disabled placard that will allow behavior that is not accepted from others

tips are not obligatory.
$131 meal is enough, paying extra is stupid
If the restaurant isn’t paying the waitstaff, it ain;t the customers fault

Single Mom is the politically correct term applied to what used to be known as “slut, tramp, easy-lay, etc.”, but now, it’s “Chic” to have no father supporting the kids they created, and expecting that to be an excuse for lack of self-reliance/self-responsibility, and in so many cases, relying on OTHERS to pay for your mistakes and/or “good times”.

Service charge really should be part of the bill.
I’m all for tipping. Spent years as a bartender.
Tipping is for businesses that hire employees.
Certain shops in my area are owner run and operated, the owner(husband and wife) drives the latest model car. Yet when I go into their business to buy something they have a tip jar out and the wife is extrovertly hustling for tips. No hired employees there. After a while I stopped going there because of the overt tip hustling. They lose.

I'm sure it's real. While working my way through college as an Olive Garden server, I saw this crap regularly. Servers didn't/don't earn minimum wage from employer and are WORKING for their tips. I mostly received 15-20%, but did get blanks, Bible verses, you name in, instead of tips. I grew to dread the table full of women.
The truth is, stiffing a server is theft. If you received lousy service, leave 10% and complain to the manager. If you can't afford to pay your server, go to McDonalds, or better yet, the grocery store.

When you go to an establishment like this, it is understood that part of the bill is a tip to the person that waited on you. That is part of their salary.
That 131.00 might have to pay for the food, utilities, taxes, chef and cook staff. It was just wrong to walk out and pay nothing.

It should, but it is not, and everyone knows it is not. Stiffing a waitress is theft.

Or order the meal as takeout. But to go to a restaurant for the service and not pay for the service...that’s real cheap.

Who knew FR was so full of occutards?
The restaurant needs to include the tip in the bill or STFU.

Obama Supporter. Could have gone fast food where no tip would be required, but she was sure she deserved this...
To: cripplecreek
exactly, if its not part of the price, then it is optional
