This is happening right now at Mitt Romneys rally in Pennsylvania. Apparently its freezing, and Romneys staff is refusing to let rally-goers leave. People are begging reporters for help.
Absolutely incredible.
From the NYTs Michael Barbaro:
"We've got to get out! My daughter is frostbitten," begs mom, asking to leave Romney rally. Staffer replies, "It's not cold enuf for that."
"There are several people here at PA rally who want to leave and aren't being let out."
"Man just pulled me aside and said his son is near hypothermia."

Full Obama Campaign psychotic break. Romney is killing his own people now by freezing them to death. How can anyone believe these people are going to win the election?

Staged by liberal plants.
It's a good sign, they're desperate.

Now I see a reference to reporting for USA Today also - so it’s was/is or both, “same difference” as the mangled expression goes.

Ludicrous! I’ve been to rallies before. I could leave anytime I wanted.
And maybe when it’s cold, the little ones should stay home. I don’t get bringing children to a political rally anyway. They get bored too easily. People insist on bringing their kids everywhere, even to places that are inappropriate for children. Sounds selfish to me.
This whole story smells to high heaven.

The NYT quotes Romney as having said “Get back out there and freeze, little girl. Now, does anyone else wanna be a hero?”

Total BS, I was on stage (with my then 7 year old daughter) as one of the backdrop directly behind Bob Dole at the Fox Theater in Atlanta.
This was behind the Secret Service Lines and Bob Dole was directly next to me and one of the former Miss America’s was directly next to my daughter....
Although it would have been inconvenient to walk off stage, I could leave at any time.....
Geez...what are they going to do to stop you? Arrest you? NOT....
The staffers obviously want you to stay till the end of the event but DUH!

I was at an Obama rally yesterday when a lightning storm came in. Woman and children were being struck by lightning bolts. As we tried to leave Valerie Jarrett was blocking the door. Not only did they put us in danger but they hurt our feelings.

First, this explains why Romney’s rallies are so large, he essentially takes hostages. Second, those children will warm up nicely as he roasts them before he eats them.

The things people don't know about their candidates for public office would simply astound both them and the candidates I am sure.

That’s nothing! At the Obama rally they were performing abortions behind the stage on underage girls. I heard girls screaming for their lives that they weren’t even pregnant but Dr. David Axelrod just laughed at them and told them to grow up! This would be just their first of many future Obamacare abortions!

LOL At first I thought it was a parody of Obama, NYC citizens and the results from Sandy.
There is not way they’d keep the people from leaving, unless they wanted to help them get cars out of the way or some such.

I wasn’t aware of that condition, so yes, that could be a problem.
But any responsible parent would certainly avoid taking a child with that condition to an event like that, knowing what the weather conditions would be.
So, unless the parents were unaware of their child’s condition (possible, I suppose), I still think the claims of “frostbite” are bogus, especially considering the source.
