The name Puddleglum is borrowed from my favorite dour character in "The Chronicles of Naria," which I loved as a boy and now share with my children.

I have started my own website which I hope to populate with essays and resources on conservative issues. I think things through by writing about them, which is why I prefer essays to blogs. Often the give and take of argument here on FR, the conjecturing of positions and the solicitation of counterarguments, can be great brain-food, as can the resources and opinions provided by many learned posters on a variety of subjects I haven't the lifetime to master but do have time time to educate myself on.
