The Lord helps those who help themselves. Your attitude implies helplessness, like a child waiting for his mommy to come and rescue him. This isn’t the first time that the world has been set on fire. Just be ready to do your duty when the time comes. Actually, the time is pretty much now.
I’d say that compared to being a Ukranian peasant in 1933, a Polish Jew in 1940, or a Carthaginian in 146 BC things are still pretty spiffy.
Sorry, we don't get to abdicate our responsibility that easily. Quit waiting for God to end it, start acting to fix it. That is our job.
It also rests with Christ within you. Be like the servant who turned one talent into five and make a difference one person at a time.
The only way to change this country is to get involved. Join a local Tea Party group. Find like minded folks at your church. Go to your local PTA meetings. Go to rally’s. Speak your mind. Never give in and don’t give up.
I think he speaks for many, if not all of us.
Bad news, but the end times are going to be a lot worse than what we’re experiencing now.
Maybe it’s time to turn the news off for a while, get around positive people and go talk to your Pastor (or other)

Maybe I should have worded this differently instead of going with my first instincts. I wrote this after reading news stories and listening to the news. It hurts to see how perverted our society has become. In the bible Daniel said that we should have a heart for God. Part of that is being hurt by all the things that would hurt God. I don’t think we have it worse than others have had it and I’m not giving up. I just want this country to turn back to God. It’s important who we have as President, I would never argue that. I’m just saying that without God being part of it, we’re going to go farther down the hole. I do pray and I do get involved. I’m just praying that more will start.
There’s always hope for personal salvation which is all that really matters to God. There is no collective salvation.
Look at Lot, God offered to save Lot and his family but only if they did as they were told. His wife looked back and she alone was destroyed.
I could probably find, oh, about 3 or 4 billion people who would like to trade their troubles for yours. Shall I start making some calls?

Since you seem to be greatly offended by sodomy, here's an idea. Everyday some poor bastard who somehow got on the wrong side of the law is getting raped in prison. Again, I am not a Christian, but I highly doubt Jesus would approve of that type of punishment for minor crimes like possession of marijuana. Why don't you become some kind of advocate against cruel and unusual punishment.
Don't give a rats ass about people who got on the wrong side of the law regardless of circumstance? Well, I can understand that sentiment, so find something else to do. Sitting around waiting for the end times in a country that has unprecedented wealth seems absolutely ridiculous to me. The historic norm is starvation, regular bouts of disease, and state sponsored murder, rape and slavery.
I think a lot of you who replied missed the point of what I was trying to say. But oh well, I’m not a butt-hurt liberal who has my feelings hurt very easily and believe that all are more then entitled to your opinions. With that being said. I hope you all have a great weekend.

You are NOT watching your children starve to death because some war lord refuse to distribute food.
You are not watching your children go blind because some despite thinks the simple eye drops are a capitalist plot.
You are not watching your children be crippled by polio because some religious fanatic says its Christians to disable their future warriors.
You are not having your wife dragged out into the street and commanded to denounce Christ or she dies, you refuse and a bullet is put in her brain.
You are not living in the age of plague, where 80% of the European population died.
You are not writing your whining post from a nazi death camp.
Instead of focusing on yourself, crying in self pity. Take a shower, man up and do something. Make changes in your family, on your street, in your city, in your county, in your state, then the nation.
Most of all change your heart and mind set.
We may yet wise up and follow what God told us to do in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
If not, stand firm, keep the faith. There are things worse than mortal death...
