Secret Service Spies on Free Republic (no kidding)
Free Republic Thread in Feb 17, 2012 ^ | 3 16 2012 | garjog

Just reading "New Details on NSA‘s ’Spy Center‘ and Secrets From Domestic Eavesdropping Operation ’Stellar Wind’-- The Blaze/ March 16, 2012" http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2860168/posts

reminded me that I wanted to report to you all that the Secret Service spied on a post I set up to report on Obama using the athletic fields of our university here on the eastside of Seattle.

On Feb. 17 Obama made one of his frequent fundraising visits, this time to Washington State to shake down a couple billionaires who live near by. He spoke at Boeing in the morning, then flew to Kirkland.

The trip was a means to raise money for his re-election and was totally funded by taxpayers. SEVEN choppers and what seemed like a about 100 troops.

A couple weeks before the Secret Service contacted our small university, where I work, and asked if we would be willing to let the President use our fields to land seven choppers, including Marine One and Two.

The University agreed. So the day of classes on Friday, Feb. 17 was hopeless. The campus was like an armed military base as soon as the Black Hawks landed. It was so exciting, students didn't want to go to classes. It was like a free day.

Anyway I posted a thread inviting area Freepers to protest. We didn't know the details of exactly when he would arrive, so I kept an update for anyone interested.

Then at post number 15 comments by a user named "NU Grad" appeared. Hmmm. I didn't remember that user name before. He sounded like he was aware of the events and so I figured, OK, a former student in the area is a Freeper and got pinged for Washington State.

But, no. This guy was a Secret Service Troll pretending to be associated with Northwest University. He signed up on Feb. 17. I didn't think of checking when he became a member until later when I figured it out.

Before I realized he was a Government Troll, I Freeper mailed "NU Grad" and told him my name and asked him when he graduated just in case he was a former student who I knew personally. (Stupid me).

No response.

I am sure it was espionage because the admin was told that the Secret Service wanted to monitor our email system.

It would be logical that they would also do some kind of Internet key word monitoring as well.

They had a balcony on a building near the fields packed with some kind of electrical equipment. Guess to dampen road side bombs or something.

We saw snipers and plain clothed agents in the bushes or walking around looking like "students" with back packs, but they were too old to pull it off. Must have been about 8 snipers on the roofs and crouching around corners of buildings.

I mean, I am glad that these guys are doing their job to protect the President. It is impressive that they are so thorough.

But, it is kind of creepy that they pretended to be one of us just to monitor what we were saying.

(NOTE: If I go missing and end up in a secret prison somewhere you know what happened.)

"It would be very upsetting if he became a martyr. That would be devastating for the country."

Hear, Hear.

(President Biden anyone?)

BTW, VP Biden is coming to our St. Patrick’s Day parade here in Pittsburgh. It has been summerlike here so we had the windows open and the C-5 “Screecher” (Mom calls it that) came in with all the stuff they take on these junkets. The noise alone scared my poor cats. B-(

“What exactly did “jamming our wireless” consist of? “

Well, when I wrote that I was a raging without being fully informed.

I heard an administrator in the know say that the the electronic equipment that filled a balcony was to stop road side bombs and I jumped to the conclusion that road side bombs are disabled by jamming cell phones.

But, that didn’t happen. They must have some other technology.

Others here would know I bet.

Even folks who claim they don't read FR follow FR.

Hey, guys! Just letting you know we'll be sending someone over in January 2013 that you will be proud to protect, because they will be respectful of all that you do.

The Secret Service aren't the bad guys. It's the clowns in the Administration who worship at the feet of Marx and Mao that are running us into the ground.

I expect they did much the same thing on DU when President Bush visited someplace similar.

I am sure we don’t know the half of it.

Plus can you imagine the added verse to Dion’s “Abraham Martin & John?” B-P Everytime that song some on, I cringe. Anyhoo, if the Secret Service is around me, I’d bore them to death, heck my life is so uneventful, I’d invite them in for dinner. B-P

I’ve had the Secret Service visit me at work for something I posted on FreeRepublic. I had overheard someone at work say something that I thought sounded like a threat against President Bush, so I posted here on FR asking for advice. Once I was convinced that I needed to report it, I had the mods remove my post, and I immediately called the USSS office in Orlando. I felt that it was time sensitive, since President Bush was coming to Daytona Beach for the Daytona 500 and this guy at work had said he “bought a gun for the occasion.”. The Secret Service office in Orlando took the info and said someone would get back to me. Someone finally came to my office at work, asking about me, and I talked with him on the phone. It turned out that he was NOT following up on my call to the Orlando office, but was instead following up on my post here on FR. They had subpoenaed the records from JimRob and tracked me down, apparently through my Social Security records or something.

"Not I. I just work in computer security and research and development"

Sure, wink, wink. That's your cover. "Here I am in Japan just working for a computer security and research and development company... nothing to see here..."

But, then you probably go hide out here:

If the SS knocks on my door they are going to get an earful...malfeasance dereliction of duty disparate treatment racism etc are a few allegations that come to mind.

We likely have a counterfeit President using likely fraudulent documents and he appears to be raiding the Treasury...The SS is next to him every day.. Why does a county sheriff have to do their job for them? Did they not swear an oath?

........................ What types of crimes does the Secret Service investigate?

The Secret Service has primary jurisdiction to investigate threats against Secret Service protectees as well as financial crimes, which include counterfeiting of U.S. currency or other U.S. Government obligations; forgery or theft of U.S. Treasury checks, bonds or other securities; credit card fraud; telecommunications fraud; computer fraud, identify fraud and certain other crimes affecting federally insured financial institutions.

What legal authority and powers do Secret Service agents have?

Under Title 18, Section 3056, of the United States Code, agents and officers of the United States Secret Service can:

Carry firearms

Execute warrants issued under the laws of the United States

Make arrests without warrants for any offense against the United States committed in their presence, or for any felony recognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed such felony

Offer and pay rewards for services and information leading to the apprehension of persons involved in the violation of the law that the Secret Service is authorized to enforce

Investigate fraud in connection with identification documents, fraudulent commerce, fictitious instruments and foreign securities

and Perform other functions and duties authorized by law

The Secret Service works closely with the United States Attorney's Office in both protective and investigative matters.

more:

The following are primary offenses investigated by the Secret Service:

Identity crimes are some of the fastest growing and most serious economic crimes in the United States for both financial institutions and persons whose identifying information has been illegally used. “Do a search on “web scraping” and you will find hundreds of links to software”

Thanks. This is insightful.

I didn’t realize the technology is so common. The Blaze article linked above makes it sound like there is a super computer that listens into everything around the world.

Secret Service Spies on Free Republic (no kidding)

. . . . Article and link at # 4.

That the USSS monitors FR is not news, but bears repeating. The troll angle is new, though.

Thanks, S&A.

The Secret service is comprised of a whole lot of top-notch people, including former military. These guys (and gals) are typically very patriotic. How ironic is it that they find themselves having to protect a sick, corrupt, communist, America-hating piece of dog sh** like Ubama? Whew... It must be like being a hockey goalie - - your natural instinct tells you to get out of the way of a hard rubber disk coming at you at 100MPH, but your job is to deliberately get in its way.

“The Secret Service aren’t the bad guys”

Correct for most of them. Some are by now true believers of Obozo.

Sold out for cash.
