I didn’t realize the technology is so common. The Blaze article linked above makes it sound like there is a super computer that listens into everything around the world.

That’s a whole different system altogether. They’ve been doing that for decades. Think SETI for checking for listening in on civilians. they can also hook up monitors to signal transfer points and capture all the cellar traffic. All this stuff is commercially available, including over the air cellar descramblers. They are pricey and it requires access to certain secure information or properties to make use of it, but its pretty easy stuff. Just ret assured that there are much bigger threats out there than us little FReepers, so try not to worry about it I suppose. I’m sure no one is tracking anyone here personally.
