Sarah Palin Could Run....And Win
My semi-fertile mind | Fantail1952

Posted on 12/18/2011 10:00:30 AM PST by fantail 1952

Many have truly lost interest in the Republican primary and its "candidates." None appear fully acceptable, all have major faults and excess baggage that could easily cause them to lose to an absolutely unre-electable sitting president.

While polls are often flawed and many are absolutely biased, I have seen a consistent trend that any particular GOP candidate VS Obama consistently loses, given a choice between "Any Republican" and Obama, the Republican wins handily. What this means is that the majority of voters, about 75% in the GOP in fact, are totally unhappy with the choices offered.

It is my considered opinion that an overwhelming majority of both Republican rank-and-file, and independent voters alike, are seeking someone to challenge Obama....other than the candidates offered.

Who does this leave?

As I recall, some four months ago, about the time of her triumphant tours and speeches, Sarah Palin stated that she "would run the most unconventional campaign ever." To this point, if she reverses course and comes in late to the fray, that would be the "most unconventional" move ever!

These endless and largely meaningless drivel-driven so called debates have done little more than pissed off many conservatives. By opting out in October, Sarah was insulated from this nonsense, and actually strengthened her desirability.

If, and this is a big IF, she decided to reenter any time before the Iowa caucus, she would likely show amazing support.

On the other hand, waiting to come in after the January mayhem, when deep divisions have made a clear frontrunner's unlikely, who better to fill the void?

Or even, with no leader in delegate count going into the convention, and with the prospect of internal war within the party, who better to be selected to heal the divisions and lead the GOP to victory?

Lets face it folks, we could well see the most unconventional campaign for nomination in the history of our nation!

But then, there is also another option........

Yeah, I get it...I was one of those who saw (and still see) palin for what she was and is...you are one of the ones she fooled...therefore I must be a knee-jerk liberal.

She was a charlatan, now she is a footnote....how much money did you give her?

And your point is?

Go ahead and assume I’m ignorant simply because I just graduated college. I have dealt with liberalism my entire life and have found conservative views far more in line with my way of thinking. Seems rather simple minded to relegate my postings as meaningless youthful banter.

I hope that somehow or other she is drafted. I am sure she would win, hands down.

On what do you base that? She might be popular here, but the feeling in the much larger outside world might be different.

Oh, aren’t you clever! You know how to post a stupid photo replete with idiots. What a convincing argument.

I only noticed and pointed out your age since you assume a tone of sage authority as though you have decades of reasoned thought and life experience under your belt.

Anyway, there are plenty of younger freepers who make sense and are rational and congenial. You ought to consider joining their ranks.

“2) quit he last job she had midway through,”

And yet ANOTHER idiot posts this crap without any context whatsoever.

You just re-spew whatever the Democrats want you to spew?

Learn to think for yourself.

I am not going to waste time explaining the reason she resigned since it has been covered here a million times.

This kind of BS is proof that the left is winning.

All this trashing of Sarah Palin is stupidity on parade.

If it were not for her and what she did in 2010 for the GOP and Tea Party candidates, John Boehner would still be crying in the corner while Nancy Pelosi gaveled the House into session.

I love all these folks who just know all about Sarah Palin’s motives and money making schemes. You know, shut up already. It is the same posts over and over.

We are not going to win anything fighting yesterday’s battles. Focus on what lies ahead.

Right now, Newt is the best candidate on a very short bench to take on Obama. To choose Romney is to cut our own throats.

And if Sarah chooses to run, or whatever she does to help win the Senate and to keep the House in 2012 for the GOP, she has my complete support.

You couldn’t see truth if it smacked you in the face. Being dumber than dumb - you even post it for the world to see. Go back to your ‘rat hole - when we are looking for liberalism we know where to find you.

Newt, Romney, Obama, Hillary and their ilk can make their profits, but not Sarah. Newt can write books, Romney can score it big in the investment world, Cain can be a CEO, but Sarah isn’t allowed to earn some scratch to pay the bills and set up a trust fund for Trig.

<><><><>

I’m not sure you’ve gotten the correct distinction being drawn in this case.

Those other guys you mention are making bucks AND putting their butts out there on the line in a run for the presidency, ostensibly for the good of the nation (and often to their own detriment).

Sarah seems to have chosen but one side of that equation (at least for now). Make the bucks and let others do the heavy lifting. She’ll stand on the sidelines and post to Facebook every now and again.

I don’t blame her in the slightest. She can make enough money to insulate herself and her family from a lousy economy like the rest of the elites. I’m envious.

NOT? What are you - a fat lazy citizen who expects someone to fetch them a beer - Looking for someone else to carry their load/lard ass? Can't handle 'We the People' because they might have to do something?

Try the Decaf Nik.

You see, some of us think for ourselves. And just because that opinion is contrary to yours, it doesn’t mean it’s coming from Democrats.

She quit. Walked out in the middle of her term. Yes yes, because of lawsuits. Has no other governor been subjected to this? Could she have not set up a legal defense fund that Republican would have gladly contributed to?

I think she got bored. After running for VP, being a lowly Governor was boring. And look at the money that was waiting through reality TV!! I’ll never condemn someone for wanting to make money, but I find it humorous how many are pining away like a jilted lover waiting for her to return.

Typical childish rant, but you fotgot to answer the question...when palin was doing her dance of the seven veils and passing the collection plate amongst the enthralled, how much did you give?

More than a few freepers remember clearly that her PAC was all over this forum hustling for cash in an energetic plea just one day before she announced not to announce...did they get you?

Childish rant? LOL!

That’s the best you can do with the liberal chains on you and too weak to break out of them while being eaten up by mental disease. You’re just a poor little buttercup - who is just food for socialism and too clueless to know it.
