Herman Cain Wasn't the Savior of the Republic (Vanity)
Self | 12/3/12 | Self

Posted on 12/03/2011 12:22:28 PM PST by Lou Budvis

Although I understand why Cain supporters feel let down and disappointed, I don't understand those who are thowing up their hands, conceding the election to 0bama, and declaring the end of the Republic.

Where was there any evidence that Cain had capabilty and experience to lead the Nation?

Did he have years of fighting the good fight with the scars to prove it? No. Compare the battles Sarah Palin fought even before 2008.

Since he is a radio commentator, was he a leading voice of conservative thought? No. If you want a radio host with a thorough understanding of the Constitution and gov't, Mark Levin would be a better choice.

He didn't have a distinguished military career like Col. West. Working on weapons gives you no geo-poltical experience as to when to use them. Oppenheimer may have been the father of the A-bomb, but he was never qualified to decide when to use it.

Finally, if his business experience was in manufacturing or finance, he would have a better understanding of what it will take to bring America back. But,the US doesn't need anymore fast food joints.

He added to the debate for sure, but he wasn't the end all be all.

Cain is out. Why rub salt in the wound?

Yea, he hates blogs.

Hit and run is this posters style. I guess some posters are only smart enough to post someone else’s writings, but not smart enough to comment.

Just don’t spell it Capitali$m!

You got it. I am done. No more signs No more trips to DC. No more protests. America will become exactly what the majority wants.
For me I am concentrating on God and family. If the majority of Americans don’t get it by now, they never will.

I don't understand where you even get that idiotic idea...........

It's pretty much a given that Obama is going to lose, we just want the best candidate to take over.........

I was very specific, dud...oops forgot the “e” I meant dude...

I only called out the over zealous posts of the freeperbeaters when they were going overboard with good articles just because they happen to be from blogs.

Ruined many a good thread with their wonderful sklls of posting large font and pictures two screens wide.

Drowning the baby in the BAF water.

Perhaps it looked that way to you.

Without looking, I'd posit that these "articles" were needlessly
excerpted blog posts designed to rip off Free Republic's traffic.

Granted, some of those Pimpbuster folks get nasty or overzealous.

I have nothing to do with that.

I'm sure I've read stupider posts on FR, but I'm hard-pressed to think of them right at the moment.

Nope, what I posted was true.

Many news websites posted from dozens of times daily have many more popups, viruses etc than the majority of the blogs posted here.

Some of the freeper beaters have poor protection on their 'puters and get popups and some even get their email address stolen.

I go to the same sites and my antivirus and firewall don't even let them through.

I think it is a good idea to excerpt, a large excerpt, even from blogs.

Especially if it is a long article.

What is the evidence Cain would’ve stood by his avowed conservative principles once in office? We had nothing to go on but his words.

If anyone was “Politcal Idol” it was Cain, coming out of nowhere trying to claim the top prize.

I was waiting for someone to explain why Cain was a “true conservative” who could rescue the country - no one ever did explain their Cain devotion.
