Yes I read the article. In order to avoid this situation and women who scheme and connive, one needs to keep ahold of one’s bodily fluids and dispense them when it is safe for the man.

You are absolutely right, women have the power over having children, and men must protect themselves. Birth control is nowhere near enough protection.

Suggesting that I was NOT a reasonable person had everything to do with me. I never said he should expect her to act in this way, I said he should not have an intimate relationship with someone he did not have a committed, trust-based relationship with.

You insist that our only options when discussing this situation is on laying blame on him or her. There is another option - do not put yourself in this situation. Blame them both.

I refuse to believe we are mindless animals with no ability to control our instincts. You can blame her if you want, but I see a problem when a man initiates a relationship with a stripper for casual sex.

All equality talk aside, the reality is that men still initiate relationships the vast majority of the time in our society. Or, are you contending that she was the one driving the relationship?

If the fertility clinic had a duty to see if the donor was her husband or a willing donor he may have a case.

That’s what I was thinking. Won’t get him out of child support, though.

Yes I agree he has to pay, but that is not 100% in all jurisdictions.

Known Sperm Donor Has No Duty for Payment of Child Support

"..The Pennsylvania Supreme court recently decided that under certain circumstances a sperm donor who is known to the mother may not have to provided child support for the child(ren) conceived through artificial insemination..."

There was certainly fraudulent conduct on the part of the Mother in the above case as there was by the Mother in the article you posted.

I’m familiar with that case, and it is a rare exception. Courts have held men responsible when the children were proven not to be his, when an ex-spouse forged his signature on a sperm bank consent form, and when the father was a 10-y/o victim of statutory rape. Paternity law is a twisted thing.

No he didnt, he had semiprotected sex with a women he was not married to.

I don’t think men are understanding, the woman’s movement did not liberalize sex as it tried to lighten the burden of unwanted pregnancies for women by taking away the stigma, and make the burden for unwanted pregnancies for men heavier by having them made significantly more responsible. Women were seen as always being at the mercy of possibly being pregnant without control, now men are at the mercy of a possible pregnancy with out control.

Guys it is 1910 again and you are it, don’t you understand? The only defense against this system is not to have sex with women you do not plan on having a lifelong relationship with, because when your sperm conceives, you will have a lifelong relationship with the woman and the child, whether you like it or not.

Do I favor this reality? No. But I certainly recommend it to men everywhere.
