Karl Rove on O'Reilly slamming Cain ... again!

Posted on 10/31/2011 5:15:45 PM PDT by disraeligears

Rove is again slamming Cain (practically begging that folks demand from the National Restaurant Assoc. disclose documents) and then vigorously defends Romney against Plouffe's attack) It is transparent that he is a shill for Romney. I am getting sick of Fox repeatedly putting this jerk front and center to not so subtly attack Cain. F'em.

I have heard rumors that Rove is a paid consultant part time for Romney’s campaign. We will have to see if Rove’s firm got dollars from the campaign in the next FEC filings.

But is electing Obama for a second time something conservatives are willing to see

If it means the end of the GOP, then yes, it might be worth it.

the end of the GOP

The nomination of Romney will accomplish the same thing.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was Rove and his hired thugs that “Leaked” this story to Politico..anything to help their butt boy Romney win
Romney's got the money for an army of political mercenaries doing oppo research. Rove is probably a hired general of that army.

They are in it together. Rove is on the Romney team.

Ha ha! Brit Hume just said that all perry had to run with in the beginning was ‘his perryness’. That’s a good one.
I don't have cable so all I see of Fox News is posted clips on the internet and one I saw yesterday was Hume saying of Romney, something like:

"Romney is a perfectly tuned weather vane for whatever is the prevailing political wind."

I think there are valid arguments to be made, on both sides, of what to do IF Romney gets the nomination.

Your post#27 is the best argument I’ve read yet for the side that says: don’t vote R when R stands for RINO.

As for me personally, I haven’t yet made up my mind. I’m hoping it won’t come to that.

I’m hoping Romney will not be the nominee. But if he is, I have to face that question. We all do.

If conservatives would quit watching O’Bloviator; he wouldn’t have many viewers left. Lower your blood pressure; turn off your television.

It could be the end of the GOP, but if Obama's reelected I think the history books will footnote that fact because it will also be the end of something fundamentally much more important.

>>A question. Do you believe that Obama can be defeated solely by the votes of conservative Americans as found on Free Republic?

As found on FR?? No way. I do think that the GOP elite would rather throw another election to the Dems than see a Conservative elected. They need to get the idea into our heads that conservatism can’t win and we can only “win” through across-the-aisle reacharounds. They’ll tell us that a little socialism is better than a lot of communism and then they’ll make sure that those are the only choices. Our One-Party/Two-Faces system is hopelessly broken as the two have united against the People.

I find myself in general agreement though perhaps for different reasons. Looking at American political history, I feel that we lost this argument in November 1936 when Americans gave Roosevelt 46 states. Ever since, no GOP challenger, save Barry Goldwater, advocated the end of the New Deal. Even Ronald Reagan wanted to limit it, work around its edges, but he made no effort to dismantle it. Even with 49 states Pres. Reagan did not move against the New Deal. He was occupied with defeating the USSR, but his legacy domestically, beyond lowering the tax rate, was unheralded. Why? Because the New Deal govt action is what the majority of Americans want.Unfortunately that’s the reality.

I agree. Most people want some form of Marxism. It started as a safety net, which was a good idea, but then more and more people found that the safety net was good way to vote themselves money from the public treasury. Now, we’re hopelessly addicted. Even though I hate the idea of surrendering to socialism, it is the best of all the likely outcomes for the US. But I’ll continue to fight as if there’s still a chance of avoiding Marxism. Its all we have left.
