WASHINGTON —

Who would you put on a stamp? Charlie Sheen? Lady Gaga? Yourself?

Hoping to boost sagging revenue, the U.S. Postal Service on Monday abandoned its longstanding rule that stamps cannot feature people who are still alive and is asking the public for suggestions.

Der Fuhrer, yes of course.

However, we as conservatives can simply ‘return to sender’ every such piece of mail with an Obama stamp.

Given the egos of entertainers, money would come pouring in. If they create a Jet Li stamp, I will frankly end up buying them by the truckload.

With special paper and payments I print my own stamps but i see what you mean.

Sounds just a little too innovative for the post office though. The post office needs to concentrate its mind on finding ways to deliver mail without the choke of useless paper I receive weekly.

As soon as I heard this I thought, “Oh, here we go! How long until the Obama stamp?”

Obviously it’s about Zer0 - with him, it always is.

You are probably right. The USPS will pick the intruder in the White House, Obama, for at least one of the stamps. Then they will release that stamp just a month or so before the election. If so, it will be a disgusting ploy, engineered by Obama and his puppeteers. The only good thing will be that Americans can all give him a good licking. (I know, I know...they are now ready to peel and stick.) But that repugnant, sarcastic, bully Obama does need to be taken out back and given a real, old fashioned swatting. As well as being "licked" in the election by my man, Herman Cain, who can give him a serious "what for!"

It’s not the picture on a stamp that will help boost the US Postal Service’s revenue. It’s having the right number on stamp. Right now, the number is too high. Purge the unions from the system, the number could be lowered to compete with private carriers.

Sports team logos?

Sarah Palin?

Seriously, football team logos and stuff would look cool. I think they’d sell.

I can print pictures of sports logos or Sarah Palin off of the Internet. What I can't do is put a 5 cent stamp on an envelope and expect the post office to send it anywhere. The Postal Service and their supporting unions have priced themselves right out of the market.
