They should have kept the rule disallowing living people on the stamp

Yes, Jesus. It took a second but the brain finally clicked! Let’s try one more...ummm...how about, for seriousness, Clarence Thomas, a great and wonderful American.

How about this idea. You get to choose what to put on your stamps but we get to choose alternative postal service companies to get our mail instead of being stuck with a monopoly.

When my brother’s first grandson was born he had the baby’s picture put on stamps. Very cute.

Agreed. Primary reason I posted it, in fact.

Suggestions? Sure do! If the post office needs money why not sell a spot on the postage stamps? Pay a million dollars and get your face on one issue of stamps. Second issue, double the price and no more spots for former buyers for the next few years.

Or maybe instead of faces company logos. Or cancellation stamps with a persons name on it if they buy a special envelope.

If they're going to bend the rule, Steve Jobs would be a good choice.

With todays computer technology, it should be possible for anybody to make their own custom stamps. (Not currently advised unless you want a visit from the USSS.)
