(WJBK) - If Detroit has an image of a crumbling city, it doesn't help to have one of its representatives in the U.S. Congress let his home look unkempt. Charlie LeDuff pays a visit to John Conyers house.

Conyers is a total embarrassment. Lazy son gets his Gov't provided Cadillac stolen full of thousands of dollars in concert tickets, wife is in jail for being a POS and now this. This reporter is the funniest local news guy I have ever seen and he did better reporting than the NY Times could ver dream of doing.

He could blow Jon Stewart out of the water. He’s funny, presumably politically even-handed and best of all, he does actual reportering.

But yeah, Conyers is a creature of Washington. That house is just for residency requirements. I’d love to get a grand tour of his no doubt palatial D.C. digs.
