Jose Guerena, 26,survived two tours of duty in Iraq as a marine, only to be gunned down in a hail of 71 bullets in his own Tucson, Arizona home, while his wife and four-year old son hid in a nearby closet. Mr Guerena's wife, Vanessa, said she heard her husband moaning as he lay dying, his body struck by 60 of the bullets.
Ms Guerena told ABC News: 'I saw his stomach, all the blood on the floor'
She said her goal now is to 'clear his good name'. Ms Guerena said their son Joel keeps asking about his deceased father, 'Is he a bad guy?' The Tucson SWAT team responsible for the May 5 house shooting defends its actions, saying the team was conducting a multi-house drug investigation based on a search warrant when they saw Mr Guerena aiming an assault rifle at them. At first, the SWAT team had said Mr Guerena fired first, but then they retracted that statement, saying he had left the safety on.

Did I just read that wrong (haven’t been to bed yet) 99% of the bad cops give the 1% of the good cops a bad name, or, was it the other way round?
You read it right. Notice how not one member of this swat team has said a damn thing in condolence to the family ot breaking the blue line? Cops defend wach other no matter what they do, including murder.
Remember that bart shooting?
I’ve read enough of what cops are doing lately - mostly on FR since national news of the US is not broadcast here unless it’s really newsworthy. I get most of my US news via FR, DRUDGE, Breitbart, etc. I quit reading WND.
Pima County’s Deputy Dawg Dipstik says he lives in a mecca for racism and bigotry. I guess he is right. I really don’t see a reason to have to shoot somebody 60 times but I guess those “SWAT” guys knew what they were doing. Didn’t they?
I've always thought that the show COPS was nothing more than a PR campaign.
I mean do you think they would ever show a segment that put the Police in a bad light or being wrong?
I saw this the other day, absolutely horrific story. I can’t even imagine.
Leos have a new story. they were searching for members of home invasion crew. He must be part of a gang , after all they found a rifle, handgun, body armor and part of a law enforcement uniform! Surprising it took them two weeks to come up with this version. cops and badge lickers have really glommed onto this story. see they were justified in kicking in his door to protect us.
I had a sick feeling for days after reading this story. And to make it worse - you have sheriff dipsh_t defending this!
Been there and it is scary. I had one pull me over and say that he didn't see me do anything wrong but that another car and called ahead to get me stopped from racing with a convertible on the freeway. I was driving a jeep.. I loved my jeep but you don't race in those boxes. He then started asking me where I lived and was I single. What?
Ha, Ha, he was just trying to get a date!
The guys on cops with the cameras are often just going after the easy drug bust. They go after known users, and trick them into abandoning their 4th amendment rights.
Is the “Bart Shooting” the one in Los Angeles where somebody was playing with a garden hose and the cops knew it but the cops side it was a gun and killed him anyway.
Too true - it’s PR ...
Funny, same thing - wanting to know if I was single and where I lived. I asked him should he call his supervisor so we could sort this out? He got in his cop car and left.
Had one of those guys on the New York Thruway. Funny, I was driving a jeep too. He was pretty bold, started talking about a motel! I asked him his name and the barracks he was from. He just left.
Funny story: On the MassPike there was a trooper who would stop women for speeding and then give them a choice, a Lewinski or a ticket. I was in a coffee shop one morning when the story broke and there was a woman complaining that she had been stopped by that trooper but didn’t get the choice.
If that had happened to me I don’t think I’d tell anybody.
I'm thinking that she instinctively turned her back to the direction the danger was coming from, and held the child in front of her to shield it from the threat.
That, and her statement was made while she was under a LOT of stress, and it sounds as though English is her second language.
Oh, sure. I am just sure the judge took a hard look with a skeptical eye toward the LEOs and a default position against signing the warrant for a SWAT raid. Aren't you?
BART was the cop who shot the guy in the back and said he thought he was tasering him. They rolledthe guy over while he was in cuffs and he died.
I loathe 99% of cops. It took a long time for me to come to that, but I have reached the point where I believe they do far more damage to society than benefit and are simply an arm of big govt and basically a praetorian guard to eforce bs on the tappayers.
And its getting worse.
