Every generation has a teeny-bopper poster boy who were all just as vapid as this kid. Why all the ridicule? We ridicule, because we HAVE seen this before...

Where do they come up with these people? Is he/she/it a boy/girl/?; and, if a boy, why not get a haircut with all of his/her/its money?
OK give me a chance before you rail. Justin Bieber is the first decent young artist to come along in a long time. He comes from a Christian family and has Christian values. Maybe he doesn’t have the talent adults or music critics would call sensational, but I will take Beiber over Miley Sirus, or any of the tacky looking creatures the music execs want to establish. His hair is a gimic just like everyone else has. If he had a buzz cut, you would be bashing him for that. Be pleased that your kids and grandkids have Bieber fever and not panting after some coke snorting, tatooed, body pierced loser. Just say’in.

Who are they? I was born 10 years too late for the type of music I like. I love 1940’s, old cowboy westerns, and yodeling. Someone sent me a link to a singer, Taylor Ware, who at age 7 taught herself to yodel from an instruction book and a tape. She is a teen now and singing all over the world. After I found her I did a search on you tube and found a lot of kids who are yodelers. Good for them. Taylor was on one of the talent shows as a 12 year old. She is terrific.

He bears a rather unfortunate resemblance to Miley Cyrus...

OK, what you are saying has been said about Brittney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Miley Cyrus.
And look at what they turned out to be.
The point is that we must limit our kids to these pop stars as much as we can.
I hope Bieber never goes down that oft-trod road that has failed so many others. But since he’s only 15... he has plenty of time.

OK . . . I’ll concede. Better to emulate him than to worship that Hanna Banana or whatever she is. I stand corrected.

I'm female. When I hit teeny-bopper age my hearth-throbs were a bit older looking.
I don't think I would have gone for the Bieber.
However, I do appreciate that he seems fairly clean-cut and also wish him no harm adjusting when he loses his fame.
To: Responsibility2nd
I’ve been seeing that name Justin Beeber around a lot but I don’t know if I’ve ever heard one of his songs. (He’s a pop singer, right?) Serious question - - is he any good, or is he just this year’s Hanson, New Kids, Spice Girls, etc., who will be all but forgotten in 2 years when the next “teen idol” shows up?
