This sequel starts relatively modestly with the revelation that Transformers have been around since 17,000 BC (cue cavemen fighting alien robots), before switching to a less-nerdy-than-before Sam (LaBeouf) getting ready to go to college.
Mysteriously, his supersexy girlfriend Mikaela (Fox) is still with him - though naturally neither can quite bring themselves to say the 'L' word. Sam accidentally touches a shard of the ancient Transformer technology and finds his mind flooded with hieroglyphics.

Let’s not forget that Mikaela feels like a prostitute every time she kisses Sam...
It’ll make money.
Sad, but true.

You forgot Megan Fox.
Hopefully there will be another A-10/AC-130 type strike. The sequences was worth the price of admission. :)
What is wrong with people being employed and making money?
I’m off the day it comes out, so I guess I will grab a couple of friends and check it out.
I saw part of the origional Transformer movie on TV not long ago. Part, I said! What a waste of time! Just a high dollar kid show!
I thought the actress who played the Australian hacker was prettier. Miss Fox is too plastic for me.
Could not of said it better myself. Seeing a Michael Bay movie is a guilty pleasure. :) LOL!! BRING THE RAIN!
WARNING: Stargate Rip-off
Nice to see American soldiers portrayed as good guys and heroes again.
I remember when I saw Transformers all the movies Michael Bay ripped off from Independence Day to Heartbreak Ridge. It was still a fun experience.
I didn't even get that far.
Too much time spent setting up the story.
So he's a young guy from the suburbs who buys a Camaro, how exciting.
It was hard to see that the arrival of murderous alien monsters would have improved things much, though.
> I remember when I saw Transformers all the movies Michael Bay ripped off from Independence Day to Heartbreak Ridge. It was still a fun experience.<
It’s a summer pop-corn movie, not Citizen Kane so it’s all fun. Michael Bay is supposedly rumored to have his OWN direct line to the Pentagon if he ever needed US military equipment for his movies. He’s pro US military in his movies.
Remember there was a scene in The Rock where the Hummer rolls over a volskwagen with the “peace” sticker..
Let's see, he has a new Camaro that turns into a robot and Megan Fox for a girlfriend and he dumps them both so he can go to college.
Somehow I see robots fighting for domination of the earth more believable.
And in the real world Megan wouldn't lose that guy without a restraining order.
>>What is wrong with people being employed and making money?<<
I am all for that. I just find that schlock selling is always sad.
OTOH, I was perked up a bit by “Land of the Lost” flopping.
As long as they don’t show her thumbs . . .
Or . . . make us listen to her vapid ramblings on topics like politics or ‘boys”
