Does Anyone Get It Yet?, Part II
Robert Ringer's Voice of Sanity blog ^ | 4-3-09 | Robert J. Ringer

As the Obamacrats continue to take over banks, auto manufacturers, and, soon, everything from land-development firms to sports franchises to lemonade stands, more and more people will finally get it. They won’t have a choice: They’ll be living in servitude!

Of all the dictators over the past hundred years, I think BHO comes closest to the model used by Adolf Hitler. I know, I know … I can practically hear you chuckling. Enslaved people throughout history have a propensity for chuckling - until they wake up one morning and find themselves in chains. So, by all means, feel free to chuckle - but do hear me out. Though few people realize it, Hitler was legitimately chosen to be Chancellor of Germany in 1933 by President Paul von Hindenburg. At his swearing in ceremony, Hitler faithfully repeated the oath of office: “I will employ my strength for the welfare of the German people, protect the Constitution and laws of the German people, conscientiously discharge the duties imposed on me, and conduct my affairs of office impartially and with justice to everyone.”

Nice words … similar to those uttered by the president of the United States when being sworn into office. Hitler was a charming, eloquent speaker who carried on incessantly about change. (Sound familiar?) Then, once elected, he moved quickly to establish a dictatorship – accomplishing that seemingly impossible feat (in a Western democracy!) within weeks.

Dictators are all alike. Just the details and trappings vary.
Murder, force, theft, servitude, torture, prison, humiliation, misery, etc. are constant.

Of course Hitler had two advantages...he didn’t need a teleprompter to be effective and the citizens of Germany had already been disarmed. Somehow I think the second was a wee bit more useful.

Never hesitate to post anything along these lines. Our side has been so brow-beaten over the years that many are uncomfortable stating the obvious anymore. And that has to stop. Good post.

If the CEO of GM can be fired by the gummit, we’re all slaves.

Pray for America

Does anyone believe that the US military would back an Obama power grab? I absolutely don't think so.

The answer to my question may already be out there but I haven’t heard. Could the CEO of GM have refused to give up his job until the Board of Directors removed him?

Did the officer corps support Hitler? Take a look at most of the generals and admirals we have-- not all, but most are careerists who only look after their own advancement and will sing any tune they have to to do so.

There is no reason to chuckle at the comparison of Obama to Hitler. I have seen the similarities, and they are many, since last fall. Watching the History Channel “Valkyrie” special was especially eye opening. One could easily have substituted the name of Obama for Hitler all through that program. They are cut from the same evil cloth.

Yes, but the majority of the military did not vote for Obama, and it's ultimately the enlisted men and women who determine whether to support a clearly unconstitutional power grab, irrespective of what their commanding officers say. The obligation of an enlisted soldier/sailor etc. is to the people of the US and the constitution first, and when orders from CO’s conflict with that obligation they are not bound to follow those orders.

We are asking the wrong question. GM and the banks are bankrupt.

We became slaves when we allowed the government to tax us. Voluntary servitude I think they call it. I hope our chains are light : )

The officer corps supported Hitler after he agreed to disband the SA. The officer corps feared the growing power of the SA paramilitaries and decided it was worth it to make a pact with the devil. I would think that our officer corps would instead take it upon themselves to destroy Obama’s brownshirts.

Great article from the author of How You Can Find Happiness During the Collapse of Western Civilization published in 1983.

Again, good words and a good concept, but in reality, will most follow orders? Esp. if they are told lies: "These people are terrorists. The seek to harm America. We have credible information on a network of neo-Nazis instigating rebellion and a potential coup." The Left are masters at making up lies, putting them out through their propaganda arm (MSM). How is the enlisted man or woman to know?

I think the military will somewhat split. Remember in the first Gulf War, Sadam had to execute 127 of his own officers because they refused to invade Kuwait. Those who see the truth and act on their convictions will pay a heavy price. Also, we can not ignore the racial angle. A sizeable percentage of the military is black. What percentage voted for Obama, how they would respond to a power grab, is anybody's guess. I never trust polls on black solidarity. The people who take these polls skew them by poll location and who they consider "black".

You are very correct about the book:

I have referenced it on this forum before, but am reluctant to do so because R.J. Ringer was a (little L) libertarian.

But his observations were very prophetic.

From:

“How to find Happiness during the Collapse of Western Civilization”

(R.J. Ringer 1983)

“On reflection, there probably is one distinction that can be made among a Liberal, Socialist, and Communist. While all three are dishonest, each one presents himself differently to the world.

A Liberal is nothing more than a closet communist; a Socialist is in the process of coming out of the closet; and a Communist is already on the outside, trying to shove you into the closet.”

There’s a reason the Obama Administration is cutting the budget of the DOD by 20%. And then wants to create his own national security force of 2+ million...

With the DOD decimated, and with his own literal multi-million man security force, the concerns over the US Military backing him are greatly diminished!

Through a century of Prussian-style government-paid schooling, the citizens of the United States have been mentally disarmed. As a nation, we may be equally vulnerable to the smooth rhetoric of a charismatic leader.
