Doubt she uses a computer herself nor even knows what a search engine is.

The irony is that conservatives continue to support Google and it’s subsidiary, YouTube.

She reminds me of the evil emperor off of Star Wars -— of course he was just fictional...
I wonder if she gets her pant-suits from the same designer as Hillary?

So, what I propose is that all of the Red States be digitally removed from Google Maps...

“The irony is that conservatives continue to support Google and its subsidiary, YouTube.”
This is a serious question from someone who is largely computer illiterate. I know how to surf the net and manage to post comments here although things like posting articles or photos are beyond me. I get my news from the internet and use it for mail and word processing. So, given how ubiquitous Google and YouTube are, how does one stop supporting those business concerns? Do I just use some other search engine, and if so, which one? Is there an alternative to YouTube to see McCain ads or similar videos people are posting?
I like to put my money where my mouth is. I am frustrated about these companies that are everyday parts of my life taking political stands. I live in California and would love to tell the utility provider PG&E where to go after its contribution to gay marriage proponents, or the California Teachers’ Association for the same thing. How do we withdraw our support of some of these companies without becoming Luddites?
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Personally, this is what I do. I don’t use Google’s search engine for any reason (I use Live.com, but there are plenty of others around). I avoid YouTube. McCain’s ads are also hosted on his web site. I don’t yet avoid web sites that use Google’s syndicated ads, but I do try to be careful not to give those ads any clicks.

Thanks. I’ll change my search strategies to avoid using the Google default searcher on my computer.
