Posted on 04/23/2008 8:50:07 AM PDT by Lucky9teen

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) activists dressed with fresh lettuce leaves pose for photographers in Manila on April 18. Steaks out of a test-tube? The animal rights group PETA is putting up a million dollar reward for anyone who by 2012 can grow in-vitro meat that looks and tastes like the real thing.

Nude models from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) shower in Times Square to highlight the meat industry's impact on the planet in New York April 21, 2008.

Just go ahead and give the check to McDonnalds, just a little more tweaking and they will have the taste right. Soy-seaweed, tastes so good. LOL

Aren't a sizeable portion of cattle already impregnated via In-Vitro?

This street theater suggests their Utopian dream: take meat away from people as well as their clothes.

Meant to say “girls”.

Also, I’l bet Sigmund Freud would say these young women’s desire to save “Mother Earth” is merely displased yearnings to become mothers themselves. Most enviro freaks have a pretty low birthrate so this becomes a vicious cycle — instead of becomming pregnant and satisfying maternal needs they project these feelings on animals. They become brainwashed to believe that having kids is bad for the environment so this pits their yearnings for children against their new “parental responsibility” to “save the earth”. This causes a great deal of pent up hostility to those who question them on their “sacrifice” yet their social circle will discourage childbearing. Thus, in the end, all you have is a burned out crazy cat lady wearing Birkenstocks.
