It is a scam. His signature issue is his claim to be a conservative. That there is some serious snake oil.

When we hear, however, of the growing popularity of gastric bypass surgery methamphetamine, the thought occurs, what if that is how Huckabee lost his weight?

He had an illegal alien hidden under his jacket all that time, and just let him out.

When we hear, however, of the growing popularity of gastric bypass surgery, the thought occurs, what if that is how Huckabee lost his weight? Could he have had such surgery secretly? Would he then attribute the subsequent inevitable weight loss to his determination and discipline?

It's my understanding that people who undergo gastric bypaass still need to exercise determination and discipline - it's apparently possible to gradually eat your way back to an enlarged stomach size and the exercise necessary to get in shape regardless of food intake obviously takes both determination and discipline.

I don't like Huckabee and I won't vote for him in the primary. But this gastric bypass issue seems completely irrelevant to me. If that's what it took for Huckabee to lose the weight, more power to him.

Well, I’ll say one thing: you put a lot of work into this.

While he was very large in 2003, he looks horrible in the 2006/2007 photos. He looked more healthy while obese.

When I heard Huckleberry Hound had lost 110 lbs of useless fat, my first thought was ‘they amputated his head?’

Quite honestly, he looked much healthier in 2002 (at 290 pounds) than he does lately.

Absolutely facinating and thorough research, friend Plutarch! Congratulations - you've exposed another side of this Arkanscoundrel-Huckabee.

Must be something in the Hope water there. Thanks ......................... FRegards

Gastric banding huckabee yields 651 hits on Yahoo. IMHO, it's not much of a cover-up. It's not that I have much sympathy for another health nazi/nanny statist.

Your comments are interesting, perhaps correct, although far from the legal definition of proof.

They are also highly embarrassing to conservatives in general. We, FRians, considered the leading Conservative news source in the world, with a country on the brink of self-elected destruction in the form of Miz Clinton, make this a focal point.

We eat our young.

And speaking of Rush Limbaugh and his weight loss, compare his weight loss and looks to Huckabee’s. Rush looked much healthier during/after his weight loss. But Huckabee looks awful.

First Dan Rather, now Mike Huckabee. Hats off to you Plutarch. My bet is that this story cooks for about a week before it explodes everywhere... FR strikes again.

I think people who have had that surgery eat very little as they get full faster. It might be interesting (if there is a way) to watch him at meal time on the campaign trail.

Personally, I trust him as far as I can throw him. I resent his trying to lay a guilt trip on Christians who are against illegal aliens invading our home. He seems to believe God would be okay with unknowns climbing the pearly gates or digging tunnels under them to get into heaven.
