Again, how is this relevant?

The point is, how important it will be politically is unknown, in either case it should be fully disclosed before the primaries.

I think this accussation is total B.S.
Your comments...far from the legal definition of proof.

I wouldn't maintain they are proof, but are enough to be worth asking questions and getting this cleared up before the primaries.

Can we focus on politics instead????!?!?!?!

Huckabee made his personal weight loss a part of Arkansas state policy, with his ...if I can lose weight, anyone can., business. Huckabee was the one that focused politics on his weight loss, and he can't run from it now.

We, FRians make this a focal point.

If it wasn't brought up now, it would be after he was nominated. Huckabee can make this go away tomorrow by proving he hadn't had gastric bypass. If he doesn't, then the MSM and Dems will prove it for him after he is nominated, and what that would mean we don't know, but it wouldn't be good.

There is nothing...NOTHING...more important than character when choosing a leader. See posts 20 and 21.

Either what Plutarch has hewre is right or it's wrong. If it's right it's a total deal-breaker. Consider that if it is right, Huckabee defrauded his publisher.

This is highly relevant to politics. Huckabee has made obesity a political issue in Arkansas. For instance, Arkansas was one of the first states to send "BMI report cards" home with kids. This implies a lot of shame and blame ("If your kids are fat, you are a bad parent!") It involves the power of the state in making judgements, recommendations, taking actions against individuals re: their personal physical habits and bodies. This IS political.

For that matter, Huckabee must have been a 'bad parent' too - as the photo of his family in this article shows. (I'm being sarcastic here - I don't think fat kids are caused by "bad parenting." But BMI report cards do imply that.) He has at least two fat kids, which confirms my view that obesity among children is largely genetic.
