Michelle Wie on Friday missed the cut in last place at the European Masters -- 22 shots behind co-leaders Bradley Dredge, Andrew McLardy and Marcel Siem.

"I am still in shock. I just couldn't get any of my shots to go," Wie said after a round of 8-over 79.

"I don't know why it was. I don't even know what sport I was playing today."

Having now missed the cut in nine of the 10 men's events she has played worldwide, Wie will give it another shot next week at the 84 Lumber Classic on the PGA TOUR.

Friday, Wie was dead last out of 152 players.

Isn't there a women's golf tour she can play in?

Maybe she will do better there.

She needs to give it up for a few years, maybe she'll be able to compete with the big boys someday, but that's a long way off.

She should play and try to win on the female amateur tour.

Then play and try to win on the professional ladies tour.

Then, think about the men's PGA.

IMHO.

She is very young and has been given very bad advice.

She has no wins, nothing to draw on when she is in the heat of competitive golf, but she is a multimillionaire.

Seems much ado about nothing. I have been watching her career since she first hit the golf radar screen and I personally think that she is being pushed.

Got to beat Tiger, what better way than a young female golf prodigy.

She is good but I don’t think she is great, at least not yet and never will she be in the same class as Tiger.

She may make a mess of her life, as well as her golf career.

I hope that I am wrong, but she is not ready for prime time.

She is only 16 ?

Tiger must have gotten better advice from his parents as a kid.

Tiger won as an amateur, in college, and then went pro.

She may have talent, but she is getting bad advice. She needs to win on the amateur level with other women first.

IMO.

There is alot of money for her, the family, and the sponsors.

We see this in tennis and other sports, too.

It is a big dis-service to her as she is not ready.

Tracy Austin won some in tennis. But she was pushed too soon, too hard.

Tracy even later admitted that she was burnt out in her twenties ?

Had she been brought along slower, Tracy ( and now Michele ) could have had a long , successful career.

Michele may think that she does not need to be a kid, but she will never have a second chance to be a success at the high school and college levels.

I hope that I am wrong, but the fame and big money may be driving the decisions.

Michele is a real golfing talent. Hoefully, she can handle all the other stuff, too.

I agree, that's what Tony Kornheiser has been saying all along. Hearing about her constantly missing the cuts is getting old for us, so you can imagine what it's doing to her.

Amature status has long since been vacated when she turn professional at 16. She has won on the amature schedule and with time will become a winner on the LPGA tour. I suspect this is the last year of her being invited to the PGA events or that is the expression of some of the Golf Channel hosts except for maybe overseas a few times.

She has little foundation of successes at 16.

Missing these cuts must be very tough on her.

The sponsors may drop these invitations soon.

She can never go back to her potential college and amateur tours to developing a wining attitude...like Tiger and his parents did.

What do you want from her? She hasn't missed a cut in the LPGA and has had this year in women's tournaments:

1 2nd
3 3rds
1 5th
1 26th Over $650,000 in winnings

The missed cuts have occurred in Men's events.

I want her to be successful in her own eyes.

Hopefully she is happy with her own performances.
