And thanks for the other tips. Hopefully won't have to resort to the usin' the litterbox ourselves one... ;-)

44? Is that a typo?!

Nope, it's for real. LOL!
People have a tendency to toss out their unwanted cats close to farms, thinking we need mousers I guess.
We're suckers for a whiskered face and take in those who are lucky enough to make it to our doorstep. Hubby came in a few minutes ago saying he just spotted a new cat at the edge of the fields. wunnerful.

Here's a shot of a little "fun" we have here at Feeding Frenzy Time......

And that's only a few of our critters. LOL!

I hope you have luck finding loving homes for your babies. I know how hard it is to part with our pets once they've taken hold of our hearts.
That's why we have soooooo many now........can't bear to give them away. We've gotta be certifiable. :-)

LOL! You've got a whole rainbow there! Yeah, we lived close to a farm when I was growing up, and people were forever dropping off cats - including pregnant mothers or mothers with tiny babies. Just burns me up that people would do such a thing...we adopted quite a few over the years, but I think our highest count was maybe eight or nine.

I'm still trying things, but getting frustrated. Cleo in particular worries me.

We get the occassional pregnant cat or momma with young kittens in tow, too. It's disgusting that people won't take responsibility for their pets and have a little surgery done. All our Kidz are spayed/neutered except for five kittens who were born two weeks after their mother arrived. They're almost old enough, though, and will be scheduled for surgery soon.
We keep our vet busy. LOL!

I sincerely wish you all the best of luck in finding good homes for your girls. They're gorgeous cats and I'd think they'd be relatively easy to place. Unless there's simply no one looking for a new cat to take part in their lives.
It's sad you can't take them with you.

Just a quick update...

I contacted Siamese Rescue in hopes that they might be able to help. Unfortunately they don't have a real presence in this area, but they WILL (for a small donation) add the cats to a mailing that they send out several times a week. I've only put Cleo there for now as she'd likely to be the hardest to place. Whether anyone in my area will see it, I don't know, but I hope so. They also suggested that I put ads up at the vet and so forth, but I'm not super hopeful there...which is why I started the thread.

I'm aware that there aren't many people of ANY kind within my area. It's one of the reasons I'm relocating.

Thanks for the help and the tips and good thoughts everyone has provided so far!

Awwwww, I was hoping you were pinging to tell us of your success in placing them. Continued prayers that you find them a good home. There has to be SOMEONE who would love to have your puddies!

Awww....Jen won't mind a few extra cats. Don't they get three cat nights out in Colorado?

I think I have the OK on two if I can get 'em there... ;-) Whether sister will go along with that remains to be seen. My family still thinks I'm insane for transporting any cats. I can't see two being THAT much harder than one in the car, though I don't have a carrier for both at the moment and it'll be awfully cramped. Still...

Cleo...I just can't see her making that trip. So...keep prayin' something turns up! I'm getting a little worried as I really should find HER, at least, a home before I move back with Dad for a short time before the trip.

Have you talked to a vet? Maybe some kitty calmers would help Cleo move.

It still wouldn't solve the space issue, though.

Or the Dad-hates-cats-with-a-passion issue.

*sigh*

Not to mention Halvah and Cleo in one small vehicle for three and a half days is liable to end in death.
