Pains me to say so...
I'll always be thankful to Teresa for making such an ass of herself. The fears of having her as first lady must have been good to sway at least 1% the vote to Bush.
Hail Heinz ketchup!
I actually like Del Monte better anyway... but I do appreciate Teresa's tremendous contribution to Kerry's defeat.
"There is nothing wrong with using Heinz Ketchup. The company contributes to our side!!"
So you can be bought out? That's what it is. Heinz giving some to us some to them is the deceptive attempt to gt people to forget the evil they are promoting with what they give to "Them."
I just have to drain the water first before I squeeze the other-than-Heinz brands. My conscience is happier.
I would not use that brand if it were given to me.
Hunts - Since kerry won the primaries.
Yes...I couldn't bring myself to use anything else during the election period...now I can pad Theresa's bank account guilt free!
I have already ordered W Ketchup twice, I think it is actually better than Heinz. A little pricey to buy over the internet with shipping, but it was well worth it.
No, I cannot be bought out. If we all quit using products that contributed to the DNC or specific democrat candidates; we would all starve and stink.
I found this after doing a google search on Heinz + Contributions + Republican...
As befits a global consumer products company with thousands of employees in the United States and around the world, the Heinz Company is non-partisan and politically independent. The Heinz Company PAC, which is funded by voluntary employee donations, has a policy of maintaining good relations with both major political parties, particularly focusing on those candidates whose district or state contains a Heinz facility. Over the past seven years, the Heinz Company PAC has contributed $96,000 to Republican candidates and $54,000 to Democratic candidates, largely reflecting the party affiliation of the candidates representing the states where we have facilities.
I personally like Hunt's. When we were in the Philippines we ate ketchup made out of bananas and it was ok.
Well hey... if that's what they're good at, that's what they're good at.
If making ketchup is what they do, hell, keep the good stuff coming, I got frozen tater tots I still haven't heated yet.
(stay out of politics, BTW)
Bones
The Heinz Corporation supported President Bush, and donated substantial funds to his campaign
I hear T. Heinz is really a hunt......
HEINZ is the ONLY ketchup I will buy. Hunts is crap, as is W.
Have to admit it's good, but I can easily switch to another brand. Not so easy for my husband.
