Our family stopped buying Heinz ketchup since Kerry won the primary. The reason is simple. Any cent goes to Heinz Co. basically has a potential proportion going to Kerry's campaign. I guess now the boycott can be lifted.

If that's not enough to keep you from buying Heinz...think about Teresa's contributions.

I buy the supermarket brand, unless I'm at Sam's club.

Realistically, anything you're putting ketchup on, you're trying to mask the taste.

I switched to Del Monte and it tastes great to me! Or I use homemade salsa- even better.
No more Heinz products in my lifetime when I can avoid them.

You don't build a hundred million dollar fortune on crappy ketchup. The boycott was silly anyway. Boycott's nearly always are.

There is a new brand called W ketchup, it's every bit as good as Heinz and 10% goes to Ollie North's Charity, Freedom Alliance... found it playing slap the Candidate and clicked on the Heinz bottle... bought a whole case!

I too switched to the Wal-Mart brand. It's way cheaper (about half the price of Heinz) and I can't tell the difference.

I don't use ketchup myself (had my lifetime quota as a kid I guess) but I do like 57 sauce. Thankfully, there are passable store brands of the stuff now.

I dunno if Kirkland is Costco's brand but that's the only place that has it around here, and Costco is an outfit for which I have absolutely no use.

Teresa Heinz Kerry only inherited the fortune from John Heinz. She does not run Heinz or have any control at the company. I do like ketchup though.

I stopped drinking Evian b/c of French perfidy. But I won't give up Heinz ketchup or 57 sauce. Not worth it to me...
