No there are many other alternatives that have their own charm. Heinz is off my list forever.

We were faithful Heinz ketchup users until last week when I had to make an emergency ketchup run (burgers were almost done on the grill). Had to buy Del Monte and found out it's just as good. I've switched.

Suit yourself. A pickled, processed tomato puree is no substitute for a fresh tomato and a sharp knife.

Heck, it's ketchup. We get the Walmart brand. My fries don't know the difference.

Hunts is just fine...it tastes especially good knowing John Kerry won't be spending my money to get his nails done or his $5000 hair cuts.

Del Monte is much better. You don't get a puddle of water on top of your food like with Heinz.

There is nothing wrong with using Heinz Ketchup. The company contributes to our side!!

The only time I eat ketchup of any type is with fries, and only then when eating fast food. (I prefer chili fries anway). Never have the stuff in my house.

The formula for the Ketchup is not Heinz's, FYI. The formula for the ketchup was bought from the Burns brothers in the '30's. As in Curtis-Burns Foods - Comstock - Profac Foods is now the original company. They were based in Western NY.

So don't think Heinz had the original formula, they were just picklers.

Speaking of "Heinz", I wonder how long it will take Tereza Rex to conclude that Forbes-Kerry is a looser and squeeze him out the door? Not that it keeps me awake, I'm only interested in a "Dear John" pool.

Who uses ketchup? It's salsa around this household. Mild for the young ones and "regular" for the rest of us.

I have used Hunts it seperates to easily them and del monte too. Nothing worse then squeezing Ketchup on fries and half of it is ketchup water.
