How China executes 1,000 people a year for literally anything you do they do not like. And those are only the ones that got some sort of public trial - others are just taken away buy the police, dumped in a ditch and shot.
( By comparison the US executed 84 people in 2023. )

This is the kind of thing that makes one wish the Three Gorges Dam would be destroyed.

Killing < 400 million innocent people is not the answer - its the government, not the people who hate their government. Destroying the dam would not effect the CCP or Beijing.
Whoever did that would be the biggest mass murder in history & reviled for centuries.
Not to mention, as an act of war, destroying the dam would trigger a nuclear response from China - the very government that runs the Death Vans.
