The Gateway Pundit reported last March, before Kari Lake announced her bid for U.S. Senate, she revealed that a person sent by “powerful people back East” attempted to bribe her “with a huge salary and a position on a board” to stay out of politics.
Lake, however, told the individual to pound sand and then later announced her campaign for Senate with President Trump’s endorsement.
Now, Tucson radio host Garrett Lewis reports that two sources close to the matter confirmed to him that it was Arizona GOP Chairman Jeff DeWit.
Two sources confirmed to me that AZGOP Chairman @JeffDeWitAZ was sent to @karilake‘s home (last year) on behalf of powerful people, to try to bribe her to leave politics. Kari obviously said no. DeWit must resign now. You can’t run the AZGOP and want Kari Lake to be gone.

We have it on good authority that this is true, and more information is likely coming out shortly.
Still, DeWit has denied the claim to multiple sources:

DeWit has not responded to The Gateway Pundit’s request for comment…
Based on DeWit’s previous remarks, it is probable that he would try to get a pro-Trump candidate to stay out of politics, as he apparently did with Kari Lake.
In early 2023, DeWit, a close friend of billionaire donor and former DeSantis surrogate Jim Lamon, was caught on a recorded phone call making anti-Trump statements and declaring that he is “off the Trump train.” However, he denied the legitimacy of the tapes and lied about the context, calling the tape “chopped up,” “fake,” and a dirty campaign tactic, when asked by reporters.

Anyone remember Katherine Harris of Florida recount fame? The GOP carved out a congressional district just for her. After 1 or 2 terms she wanted a senate seat. She was too toxic and should have stayed in the house. As Harry Callahan once said “A man’s got to know his limitations”. W added insult as I can remember her + her hubby standing behind a roped area while the Bushes were on stage.
Lake is our strongest candidate in Az. The GOP should rally behind her not because we can win. It’s because we’re done with the squishes.
Thank God Lake had the presence of mind to record this. It is exactly what we always thought. There is no democracy. Only controlled opposition and corruption at the highest levels. Public hangings will fix this for a few generations.

The Arizona RepukeLickings gave up TWO US Senate seats and the governorship to get even with Trump.
I’m assuming that this is a common occurrence.
Bernie Sanders accepted his bribes.
Both Lake and Trump are very media savvy and fully aware of how agenda driven media people will distort their comments.
Trump loves NDAs and Kari is a big proponent of making sure that all of her media interactions are recorded under her control so she has both audio and visual proof of exactly what was discussed.
Pretty sure the discussion occurred in Lake's own home as part of a pre scheduled meeting so Lake had plenty of time to set up recording devices to document the discussion.
She would be a fool to not do so and she is no fool. Arizona is a one party consent recording state so DeWit could have legally recorded the conversation and could have had it edited himself to create damaging audio of Lake to destroy her if she could not be bought off.
In fact, there is a better than 50-50 chance DeWit was wearing a wire for exactly this purpose. Reasonably confident that Lake has a very well validated audio video recording of this discussion to prevent him from either discrediting her or even black mailing her with a doctored transcript.

In life, timing is everything.
The Republican primaries are starting and Trump is on the verge of winning the nomination next week.
All of the lawfare prosecutions against Trump are being exposed as fraudulent lawfare and the corruption of the prosecutors is being exposed, especially for Fani Willis.
These lawfare lawsuits were intended to stop Trump from being nominated President. It looks like they are backfiring and turning the public against the Democrats and for Trump and he will soon be nominated.
The Fani Willis disclosures were the first salvo in the Trump counter offensive. Kari Lake just dropped the next shoe. Pretty sure there will be plenty of other shoes to drop in a carefully scripted fashion.
It's all coming together for Trump wit perfect timing and a lot of the opposition are getting very scared of Trump's retribution when he is re elected. The Never Trumpers are basically back stabbing cowards and many are rushing to sue for peace. These disclosures are timed to do exactly that.

From what I heard on the audio, it sounded as though it was abruptly started mid-conversation. Speculation...possibly because Lake saw where DeWit was going and hit the record button.
Btw, cell phone recording aps are easy to get and will record both sides of the conversation. Could have been cell call, I dunno..

I agree. DeWit is history. Maybe to save his corrupt hide he reveals who his back east buddies are.
Has the Arizona GOP officials commented? What are they going to do now, continue to pretend the GOP in Arizona is a legitimate ethical political organization?
