All cable/internet companiesd are woke. But having delt with four of them, T-Moblie has the best customer service and most transparent pricing in my experience. Unless you live in the Pacific and can get DOCOMO-Pacific

Yeah, we did that now we aren’t getting any email. I’ve changed my 5 times now. It obviously isn’t a working solution.

Small tech firm, Walacor, can mitigate this sort of attack and the accompanying pr, and stock price hits…the way I read it they have superior encryption and log protection management. Blockchain based or some such…

Thanks! We’re moving to a rural area (neighbors are cows!) so our options are limited.

I'm glad I don't have Comcast/Xfinity.

All electronic systems are eventually compromised.

Changing passcodes frequently will help limit exposure. Using different passcodes for each application will help limit damage.

Constant monitoring of banking records and any type of online merchant order system is essential. The fewer of these you have, the better.

Eventually, you will get bitten. Quick detection will limit or may even reverse losses.

If it is extremely rural look aT Starlink. It is on the expensive side buT, I have a friend in rural Montana who swears by it, rather than at it.

Thanks again! I have relatives in the area & they swear often AT whatever they have ... I’ll check into your suggestion.

I have a very sound reason to believe that Spectrum just sold or gave away all there customers email addresses. In any case they did not protect them. Scammers got them all directly from Spectrum somehow.

I was at Charter/Spectrum years and sat at the Spectrum planning table. The gross incompetence and corruption was rampant. When I moved to Florida I made sure I used AT&T instead of Charter.

I had AT&T fiber and loved it. Moved, and choices were Xfinity or Windstream DSL, which was no choice. In the meanwhile, Windstream Kinetic fiber has become available. I am very tempted to switch.

Lovely. We have Xfinity. Hate it but had no other option in our rural area.

Information Security is an illusion. If you have online accounts, consider your information (known as PII - personally identifiable information) compromised. If not today, in time.

Protect yourself with identity protection services. Subscribe and pay for it yourself. Don’t wait to get the notice and a one year free subscription to a cheap, inadequate service.

I do, but I don’t care.
The reason being is that I FROZE MY CREDIT years ago after the Experian hack.

Everyone needs to to this.
It’s simple and typically free.

Them no one can take any type of credit or loan out in your name.Even YOU.

You could get a Starlink.
I believe it is $500 plus $50/month.

That is what all the peppers are now recommending.

For Comcast, the choice is Business class service. A far different experience than Xfinity.
