I am at a loss as the number of Israelis apparently unarmed and uprepared. What happened?
And very sobering to think where we are as a nation ourselves, where most Americans are unarmed, laws infringing our constitutional rights are rampant, and people don't recognize the need to be prepared to defend themselves.
How many American neighborhoods would be as defenseless as the Israelis in that video?

I would say that fewer than 1% of folks that do own an AR are skilled with it. Accurate sight-picture, malfunction management, Mag changes, etc while under duress.
Hell even shooting the thing more than once or twice a year.
I try to do my little part by even getting folks to the range free of charge w/ all ammo provided by me... nope, nada.

The vast majority of American Subdivisions would be defenseless in that situation.
In my neighborhood, we have 180 homes, my guess is that 20% or less are armed with something more than a pistol. Anything is better than nothing in an Israeli situation, a 9mm is not going to work real well against terrorists armed with AKs and ARs...

Israeli gun control laws. As explained by an Israeli, generally they have to store their weapons in the ‘shooting center’ and even ask permission to sell it. Plus, limited to only 50 rounds at a time, supposedly.
You know, like the commies keep trying to implement here, in spite of the explicit constitutional prohibition in place.
