The ‘Gutfeld!’ Effect: Timpf’s ‘Joke’ Tops Amazon Book Charts

There’s a reason why Tom Hanks and Viola Davis drop by Stephen Colbert’s “Late Show” set.

The stars are hawking a product, be it a new film or streaming series.

It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement that’s worked for decades on late-night TV and elsewhere. The stars provide appealing guests who share stories for the viewers’ amusement. Those appearances, in turn, offer “free” promotion for their respective projects.

Now, “Gutfeld!” is helping push product in a very big way.

Fox News’ late-night alternative is at or near the top of the late-night ratings heap. Host Greg Gutfeld tells the jokes his peers won’t, mocking President Joe Biden and the rest of the Democratic Party along the way.

The ratings speak for themselves.

The media insists on ignoring Gutfield and the fact that despite being on the air with his own late night show for just a couple years, he is the top-rated late night comedy show.

Nolte notes the drop in ad revenue of other shows in the article linked above. Nolte points out that in an Variety article on discussing the collapse of late night ad revenue Gutfield is almost ignored.

"Greg Gutfeld is the undisputed king of late night, and in a 4500-word Variety piece discussing late night, Gutfeld is not mentioned for 22 paragraphs.

Guess how many times Gutfeld’s mentioned in the 26 paragraphs that follow paragraph 22…? Never. Not once. Gutfeld is mentioned only three times in the entire 4500 world piece. Jimmy Kimmel, whose ratings are lower than Gutfeld’s, rates 17 mentions.

I watch Garfield every night. I like his mix of guests, and of course, Kat and Tyrus.
I think Greg goes a little too far with his add-on tags at the end of his jokes.
I can’t wait to read her book.
I get along far better with libertarians than libs.
I totally agree with her about humor. It helps get me thru my health issues, even tho no one in my family appreciates it.
