The American Civil Liberties Union is calling for an overhaul of FBI rules after The Washington Times reported that agents used the CIA and National Security Agency to spy on Americans.
The ACLU urged the bureau to impose new limits on agents’ power to investigate Americans without warrants.
The FBI’s rule book, rewritten in 2021, revealed details about how the FBI tasks the CIA and NSA for help on matters including assessments, which are investigations that can involve surveillance without a court order against people not accused of a crime.

The ACLU has a tremendous capacity to do good. Unfortunately, they have become way too political - they will only take on causes when a liberal’s civil rights have been violated.

The ACLU was just fine with this in ‘16 when it meant undermining Trump, and again in ‘20 when it meant inflicting Pedo Joe on an unsuspecting public. Anyone who imagines that they’ve seen the light and are now coming down on the side of freedom is smoking crack.

The J. Edgar Hoover building in DC needs to be knocked down in a sacred ceremony and all the middle and upper management must be canned and the HQ moved to Texas somewhere greatly limited in size. Quantico is too corrupted by its proximity to CIA and DC so move it to Texas as well. Also field offices must have control of cases in their geographic areas. Decentralization helps prevent abuse of power. Lastly return to the policy of no homosexuals, in or out of the closet - they are a risk of being compromised.

Don't corrupt Texas any more than it already is being corrupted. Move the FBI and CIA headquarters to Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, or Louisiana. Nowhere else.
The ACLU began as a communist front organization. They claim to have reformed themselves after WW II. Maybe they did, but I have my doubts. Anyway, if they finally caught on to the FedGov, I say about damn time.
