President Trump reminded the world today about the tweet he shared on Jan 6 that Twitter took down five minutes after it was shared. In it, the President asked his followers to go home peacefully.
President Trump tweeted a message on Jan 6 after it was reported that there was some violence at the Capitol that day. Before he even knew who was behind the riot, the President encouraged his followers to go home.

They went through a procedure questioning the validity of the returns...It was NOT up to Pence.

I watched that rally in its entirety. I vividly recall this statement by the President. The thing that astounds me is, how effectively that statement has been suppressed and that not one politician, including those that purportedly “support President Trump” EVER brings this fact up.
I doubt he could do anything like that, but clearly once things got out of hand at the capitol the case for doing so didn't even get presented and wasn't going to be acted on.
They DID follow the procedure for objections.
It is *everybody’s* job to act with integrity. Pence fell short on that one, bigly.

I agree Pence didn’t have the authority. There were 64 legal challenges to the election, Trump won one minor court challenge.

This is all about 24/7 news coverage of this show trial. They will try to paint a picture the same way they did with the Ukraine impeachment hearings. They will not allow any defense for Trump, nor will they allow any unapproved questions. I can hear the rinos now, coming out and saying how damaging the evidence is. The media will oblige and cover the trial every night up to the election. It didn’t work before, and I don’t think it will work here.
You are both full of shit. pence not only had the Constitutional authority, he was obligated to not certify an obviously fraudulent election. Your attempts to rehabilitate pence will fail, his political career is over. Same as chaney’s is.
