How To Kill The Second Amendment: Sue Gun Manufacturers Into Bankruptcy
19FortyFive ^ | 5/14/2021 | Peter Suciu

Lawmakers in the Empire State want to hold the firearms industry accountable for gun violence, which is on the rise in New York. Already there are measures underway that could bypass federal protections and allow individuals to sue gun makers when their products are used in a crime.

Last year, New York State Sen. Zellnor Myrie (D-Brooklyn) authored a bill he said he believes would significantly expand the state’s ability to challenge manufacturers whose products are used illegally. The measure would amend the state’s criminal nuisance law to include the sale or manufacture of a product that endangers people’s health or safety.

If I was a pharmaceutical company or automaker, I’d be worried about this bill.

Lawmakers in the Empire State want to hold the firearms industry accountable for gun violence

Why?

Did the firearms industry let all the violent criminals out of prison or something? Did they create the gangbangers?

Like most liberal logic, they never take the next step.

If gun manufacturers are put out of business, who will supply our military, police, or their favorite fascist enforcement organizations?

“Lawmakers in the Empire State want to hold the firearms industry accountable for gun violence,”

And hold accountable auto industry for hit and run crimes, alcohol industry for drunks killing people, hold knife industry for all the people stabbed to death (more people killed with knives every year than killed with guns), and let’s hold every politicians accountable for swearing to uphold the US Constitution and then turn around and try to destroy it.

Ok. Right after we sue China and Mexico for the manufacture and delivery of Fentynal. These 2 countries have murdered a lot more Americans with Fentynal than people with guns have.

I don’t like drugs and don’t condone drug abuse in any way, but labelling Fentynal murders as drug overdoses is wrong.

That is what the state of new york is now doing to the NRA. It is financial lawfare designed to bleed organizations/companies of their money and resources all the while states just keep taxing their residents for a continuous and unending flow of money to grind the enemies of the democrat party into submission.

We simply have criminal democrat party led government across this country.

How about pencil and pen-makers? Used for ransom notes and bank robbery demands. Automobiles — when they are stolen it creates crime. Hold them all responsible — it’s not the criminals’ fault that these material items seduce them into crime.

Let’s not forget software companies for providing non-secure software enabling ransomware attacks, phishing scams, the posting sexual images of underage children, etc.

Gum manufacturers can’t sell a single firearm without permission of the federal government, making e.g. the FBI a closer accomplice to any crime committed with a gun than the manufacturers are.

Really, anyone who makes anything should be worried.

One of the most disruptive hacks in American history (probably the most disruptive hacks) just occurred against Colonial Pipeline. What happens if the FBI determines that the hack was committed with computers using Intel CPUs, or using the AT&T or Century link internet backbone. Can Intel, AT&T or Century Link be held financially culpable if people use their lawful services/products in a criminal manner?

Yes, is apparently the answer we’re quickly moving towards.
