Taking a page from Mao Zedong, the late leader of the Chinese Communist Party, on how to deal with unbelievers, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) insists that "the only way our country will ever achieve unity is for all the Republicans who expressed doubt about the integrity of the presidential election to publicly acknowledge their error, beg for forgiveness, and yield to the mercy the Democratic Party might extend to them."
"It doesn't really matter whether they personally are convinced that the election was fair," Romney advised. "Just repeating the words helps put a person on the road to acceptance into the new world order. Realistically, Republicans will never have a majority in either house of Congress or win the presidency again in the foreseeable future. We can be a tolerated minority and keep most of the perks that go with that or be hated intruders who must be purged from government."
"When the Roman Republic was overtaken by the autocratic rule of Emperor Augustus, the wise senators relinquished any thought of disagreeing with the new regime," Romney recalled. "This allowed them to enjoy several more centuries of high status and comfort before barbarians ultimately overthrew the empire. Sure, there were occasional humiliations and murders carried out by cruel and deranged rulers, but the vast majority of senators remained untouched by any of that. If we're smart, those of us who still hold office can achieve a similar fate for ourselves. All I'm suggesting is that agreeing to the truths given to us by the Democrats is a small price to pay for our survival."

Ok. I’ll go.
My error as a Republican was voting for Romney.
Can I have the dunce hat concession?
The real Mitt Romney just stood up.
DANG!
“My error as a Republican was voting for Romney.”
I’ve never been a registered Republican and made the same error...mea culpa...mea maxima culpa...
Romney’s a legend in his own mind.
Yeah, like George and Mitt Romney!
Ok. We errored letting him join the party.
He really is so disconnected from reality, it’s stunning. I had no idea he was so arrogant and unimportant all at the same time.
Okay, I confess that the Republican Party made a colossal mistake with their 2012 Presidential nominee.
Oh but he had been promised that nomination. I swear this is how both parties work. That’s why Trump pissed em off. He had not played the game and was an outsider. And he still beat em.
He thinks he’s in charge now. Well, he is. Who’s better? Mitch? Graham? No.
The only thing he’s in charge of is leading the effort to bend over for whomever is controlling Biden. He’s a complete success at it.
“ The only thing he’s in charge of is leading the effort to bend over for whomever is controlling Biden. He’s a complete success at it.“
Ya. That’s the GOP. He’s in charge of it.
Agreed. Anyone seen anything other than lefties and lefties in wolves clothing (rhinos) paying attention to him at all?
I have absolved myself of that error. I was voting against Obama, not for Romney.
In 2008, I voted for Sarah Palin and that white-haired guy came along for the ride. In 2012, voting for Myth Romney was a bridge too far even if it meant voting against Obama. I voted for Virgil Goode who would be an infinitely better President than Myth could ever possibly be.
Please hang yourself .
This is Fake News, right?
Not fake.
Romney has called on Republicans to publicly confess their errors. I merely fleshed out his rationale for giving this advice.
