There may be a quick sell off of the tech sector. Cloud stocks among others have been approaching all time highs; now that the “re-opening” has begun, investors will be looking at a much broader range of options. Many underpriced stocks like retailers, transportation etc, may induce investors to take profits from tech and move to lower priced securities. That’s my theory, we’lll see.
Again?? Silver has never hit 50 dollars an ounce. Its all time high was 49 and change when the Hunt brothers tried to corner the market.

The divergence between spot silver prices and bullion is very high. (about $8) But I really don’t know what to make of it?

If you are nowhere near retirement it’s a more valid statement. If you have your nest egg and near to or retired and in capital conservation mode then not so much.
I would have no issue holding cash and at worst lose a few percent to inflation then go through another 30% - 40% down cycle. And of course there are safe investment vehicles that can mitigate most of any loses due to inflation.
