Went to see my dermatologist yesterday. I was told to wear a mask for the appt. A sign on the office door told me to “knock” and wait, a tech met me there, took my temperature. I passed and was allowed in. The waiting area had about 50 chairs with every two out of three either turned to the wall or taped off...only one out of three chairs were usable.
I had to wear the mask the entire time...probably 30 minutes, as it was the first time I’d worn a mask out in public. It was cloying. Don’t get me wrong. I wear one often when working around the house and generating lots of sanding/saw dust...it’s a must for my lungs.
But exercising? I’d pass out.
People in blue states should avoid covering up their gaping, chattering mouths while shopping and being rude.
Fu©£ it! They can take me to jail. Are you people ready?
I will die if I spin with a mask. No mask at the gym.
In those places, I wear my N-95, and get in and out ASAP.
A friend and er family don’t wear any masks at all in stores requiring.....when they’re asked about it they claim they have a health issue which prevents wearing one. Apparently clerks etc. can’t do a thing if you claim that.
I don’t know who is the worst mayor in the country between NYC and LA. DeBlasio for creating the epicenter of death by starting the covid fight late and encouraging everyone to visit the Chinatown festival or Garcetti for his hope to reign in economic destruction of his city by saying he is shutting down thru August even though LA has a relatively low per capita rate of covid cases and death.
Gyms still closed here in Maryland, but when Hogan lets them open I am sure he will require masks.
Here's a lesson in mandating masks I posted the other day
Airlines are having trouble enforcing their face mask policies (passengers pull them down once on plane) (CNN Business ^ | May 13, 2020 | Pete Muntean )
Our whole state is still closed... Pennsylvania!
LA is probably the temperature, its warm there. Its been cool on the east coast this spring.
There are the Blue state governors who forced COVIDs on their nursing homes and let sick employees work in them.
And stay in your apartment orders so the whole families get it.
NY and NJ ran up their death numbers boosting the national numbers so the lib news could blame Trump for them.
Good personal policy! You’re right about some of the building supply and farm/ranch supply stores. Some of them aren’t crowded, either, and hardware prices will probably increase.
Yep, we can reduce personal risk by our own actions without remaining in lockdown and appropriately modifying most business settings. Personally, I won't be going to sit at a bar for dinner, which I used to enjoy, for sometime. Not a huge sacrifice especially given it's outdoor season in upstate NY.
Come on, folks, aren’t you sick of the fascism?
Do you really think they’re going to allow you to go back to normal any time soon? NO! They’re enjoying seeing you bow down in abject submission, groveling, begging to go out for a walk. Your forehead is scraping the ground? Not far enough! Bow down some more, and say “yes master!”.
Also if you are wearing a mask could you smell smoke if there was fire?
And if so what the hell good is the mask?
Too many studies on the ineffectiveness of those so-called face masks.
We’re being fed manure in the dark just like mushrooms.
But, yeah, anywhere else it's the N95 and precision strikes, in and out. Unless I am buying a lot of food, then, at least I try to go near closing time on an off day.
They love that, sure.
What they love even more? Your absence from the planet. The clear skies they are seeing in places that haven't seen blue skies in decades. And you flat on your back, sick and dying.
They have a goal and it doesn't involve 7-10 billion people on the planet.
In Maryland outside walks were allowed from the beginning.
Hogan moved most of the state to phase 1 allowing more businesses to open, but in Howard county the Dems in Columbia voted for a Dem Howard County Executive (Calvin Ball) who is keeping them closed in the county.
So we can shop and get hair cuts in the counties that open.
Later this weekend we will be offering tie dye masks! Should get a bit shipment ready for Southern California, eh?
I shop in a Walmart about once a week, mostly for food.(Maryland)
Coverings are technically required here to shop but I see a minority of Walmart shoppers pulling them down after getting in the store. I wear an N95 shopping but the chance of getting iCOVID in passing someone has to be close to zero.
I don't see police enforcing the rule here.
