A day after armed protesters against Michigan’s stay-at-home order entered the statehouse in Lansing, Donald Trump once again expressed support for the rightwing movement.
Michigan’s Democratic governor, Gretchen Whitmer, should he said: “make a deal” with the demonstrators.
“The governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire,” the president wrote in a tweet on Friday morning. “These are very good people, but they are angry. They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal.”
She didn’t listen to the President’s advice. Protestors in Michigan said that they are planning to rally at the state Capitol on Thursday, they are now being warned that if they bring firearms to the event they will be arrested.
On Monday, Whitmer said she respected people’s rights to protest but was becoming ‘increasingly concerned about the violent nature of the comments being made’ and the ‘extreme rhetoric already connected to Thursday’s rally.’
This action made by the Michigan governor cause even more tensions during the protests today.
A fight broke out on the steps of the Michigan Capitol Thursday morning during a protest aimed at Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and the ongoing state of emergency and stay-at-home orders.
J. Scott Park, an MLive photographer, witnessed the fight break out after a man carrying a garbage can filled with a sign, an ax and an American flag removed the flag from the can. Attached to the bottom of the flag was an unclothed doll with brown hair that was hanging from a noose. Organizers of the protest called the display “hate speech” and when one protester tried to take the doll off the flag a skirmish broke out. The man who brought the flag fled away from the fight and to the lawn of the Capitol where Michigan State Police surrounded him. A dozen State Police troopers — some on foot and others on bikes — responded to the encounter on the Capitol lawn by forming a protective phalanx as they escorted one demonstrator into the Capitol building.
The crowd yelled at the police.
“Who is paying you?” one person yelled.
“Arrest the governor,” another said.
The confrontation occurred as thunder rumbled and lightning forked over the state Capitol, where about 300 protesters in rain gear gathered on the lawn to oppose the Democratic governor’s executive orders.

Right. All planned. This morning the excellent Theresa Tomeo on a Catholic radio station in Michigan was beside herself against Whitmer over portraying store owners and average conservatives as Nazis and drooling fools she has "protect" people from.
She referred to her expose of the Saul Alinsky playbook tactics the left uses and said Whitmer is doing that today.
The optics are just horrible for the Democrats.
Who in their right mind is going to vote for her after this?
This sounds like a false flag or just an outright lie. I’m sure the freshly creased, brand new Nazi and Confederate flags carried by guys that nobody else knows will make an appearance if they haven’t already. Then again, most goods like that are manufactured in China, so that ploy might be difficult to pull off right now.

People in Michigan are proud hard working educated people all this sitting around is terrible for a state with a high rate of heart disease.The protests are great exercise, and should be encouraged daily armed or not. Maybe they should carry weights
