Keith Thomas Kinnunen has been identified as the gunman in the shooting at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, on December 29 that left two people dead. Kinnunen, 43, was fatally shot by the church’s head of security.
MedStar spokeswoman Macara Trusty confirmed that one person died at the scene of the shooting, and one person died en route to the hospital. Hospital officials confirmed that one of these victims was the shooter. The third victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition, but was later pronounced dead by White Settlement police chief J.P. Bevering.
One victim was identified as Deacon Anton “Tony” Wallace. He was 64. The second victim was identified as Rich White by KTXS reporter Daniela Ibarra.
While the deceased gunman was born in Kansas on August 26, 1976, and voter registration records show that he was living in Medina County, Ohio. He also spent time living in Tucson, Arizona, where he also has a criminal record.
According to BoxRec.com, Kinnunen was a boxer in 2004 while living in Fort Worth, Texas. Records show that the middle weight division boxer only fought in two bouts. He lost by KO in October 2004, but won his other match by a KO in November of the same year.
Before moving to Texas, Kinnunen spent several years living in Tucson, Arizona, where he was arrested multiple times. He was found guilty in 1998 of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. In 2000, he was convicted in Arizona of driving without a license. In 2004, Kinnunen was arrested in Pima, Arizona, on a disorderly conduct charge, but it was dismissed.

There is also a muzzle flash to the perp’s front indicating a second shot, likely from a snub nosed .357 mag or greater revolver. They have big powder flashes than can leave you seeing spots for half an hour.I’d say the perp took Wilson’s .45 cal bullet to the head with a second round taking him somewhere in his body, likely center mass. The perp. died before he hit the floor IMHO.

I had the same thought. Not to take anything away from the guy (who apparently is a firearm instructor) but I would assume he’d be shooting for center mass also especially if he has training. He may have just hit a foot high...though that surely got the job done.
My Question is why is he out of jail with his violent past?

after shooting the first two victims, his turn to the rest of the congregation would have been a killing spree rivaling the most deadly shootings.
Texans that carry prevented much more death. Prayers for the families of the two victims...
