The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the firearms industry trade association, released the Firearms Production Report to members. The report compiles the most up to date information based on data sourced from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFs) Annual Firearms Manufacturing and Export Reports (AFMER).

Better ask for a rifle. A friend of mine gave a handgun to his brother. Turns out that was a federal crime. Evidently you can freely give handguns up and down the family tree (to parents and to children), but not to anyone else without paperwork.
The brother was the cautious type. So he decided to play it safe, and give the handgun back.
Side note: This happened quite a few years ago. I dont know what the law is like now.
The “bureaucracy” is a separate unaccountable branch of government.
You can “loan” a gun to a family member for as long a period of time as you want.
Go out and get yourself an assault rifle. 8>)

I don’t own any guns. But I do have a scuba diving outfit. :)
Amen.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience has shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
But, when...
But they look so assaultive!!
I’ve never had a boating accident and will own as many firearms as I choose to. There’s not a damned thing anybody can do about that.

I just thought of something else. My friend in post #22 could have given the handgun to his mom (going up the family tree). Then the mom could have given the handgun to his brother (going down the family tree).
I guess that would have been legal at the time. It also shows just how silly the firearms laws are.
Take inventory of your firearms. Note which ones were bought before 1969, and which ones are at least 30 years old.
Make note of ANY not on a government list somewhere.
They already know I have three CMP rifles.
You signed up to post what we already know at FR? Agenda?
If anyone is good with photoshop.....
***The difference between Subjects (aka Serfs) and Citizens***
I am reminded of pre-gun England when a person was required to be armed. In the wars with the French Englishmen used the bow to good use against the French.
The French found they could take their serfs and make good bowmen out of them, but there arose a problem. It seems the serfs, when armed, felt themselves to be FREE MEN and, after the wars were over, were reluctant to return to serfdom.
So the French preferred to hire Genoese crossbowmen.
New name for the river...Iron Bottom Sound. Much like Guadalcanal.
Damn, she’s almost attractive in that pic. Somebody cut me off! :-)
