Americans Say They Would Vote For A Woman, But …
Five Thirty Eight ^ | July 15, 2019 | Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux

A record number of women are running for president in 2020, and now two women look like serious contenders for the presidential nomination — Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, both of whom rose in the polls after strong performances in the first Democratic debate. Joe Biden is still in the lead, but Warren and Harris may be starting to chip away at one of the central conceits of the 2020 race so far: the idea that Biden has the best shot at defeating President Trump.

For months now, voters have told reporters that they want to elect a woman — but after Hillary Clinton’s loss in 2016, they simply can’t imagine a woman winning against Trump. And this calculus is often justified by beliefs about other people’s sexism — an Ipsos/Daily Beast poll in June, for example, found that only 33 percent of Democrats and independents said they believed that their neighbors would be comfortable with a female president. But the performances of Warren and Harris in the first debate may have allowed some of those voters to envision a path to victory for these candidates for the first time.

Kamala should throw in the towel. She has no more chance then Mayor de Blasio.

Right now the person most likely to be the first female POTUS is Tulsi Gabbard.

In other words, it ain’t happening anytime soon.

Listen at how hard the Left still hates on Margaret Thatcher.

She is ignored in their “icons of history”.

It’s not that they are women that’s the problem....it’s that they are the scum of the earth.

I would never vote for a woman just BECAUSE it is a woman.

It is an interesting question: I believe on one hand that I would no hesitation in voting for woman candidate as long as she was a genuine conservative - but.

I have served under various women and they were less than satisfactory leaders.

Obviously some of the male leaders were unsatisfactory too, but the females had tendencies to over-discuss things (three hour meetings), had different perspectives than males, and often would ignore advice from subordinates.

In one case, I had a woman placed in charge of a project I had been the manager for a couple of years - because her agency had provided funding. She started out very nicely and respectfully and I opened all of my files and discussed every aspect of the project with her. Then she suddenly asserted complete control and told me that I was now a Technical Advisor and she would be Program Manager and she took complete control of design specifications, budget, timeline and testing - even though she had no background at all in the technologies or the operational employment of the system

She royally screwed things up and the project was almost cancelled until I finally persuaded my unit to resume control and to reject her agency's funding.

She underwent an almost instantaneous personality change when she went from learning about the project to taking control.

I honestly believe that men think very differently than women and it's not just "misogyny" - it's hormones and genetics and evolution.

Not those women. There are women I’d vote for. They aren’t the ones.

I have heard this and believe it to be true, that many black men will not vote for a women. They will stay home and hurt Democrats down ticket. The Democrats will need to cheat even more to win if Elizabeth Warren is nominated.

Amelia is fairly unattractive. 4.5 /10 maybe 5. Looks like she'd have a square build, too.

But let me guess, she would never have considered voting for Sarah Palin.

We would vote for a woman. But we will not be screeched at for four years by the likes of Hillary or Fauxcahontas. .
