As I discuss below, in the nineties the crooked Enron corporation paid purported scientists and environmental groups to claim that increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would cause higher temperatures. In the previous post I mentioned that some professors may be so incompetent they actually believe the greenhouse gas myth. Those who have previously accepted money for supporting the myth may be reluctant to admit that they lied. Younger professors may fear punishment by corrupt department heads if they don't support the myth.
Corrupt federal bureaucrats seem to have taken over Enron's role in supporting the global warming scam. Federal bureaucrats bribe professors by paying for projects that claim global warming is a threat.

In the nineties, Enron executives came up with a get rich scheme. Enron owed part of its early success to sulphur dioxide emissions trading. Basically emissions trading was established as a way for some companies to profit from pollution while allowing other companies to continue to produce the chemicals that can cause acid rain.
The Enron Corporation "the Crooked E" , the corrupt firm whose failure should have disproved the myth "too big to fail", but didn't? At the time it was the seventh largest corporation. It's bankruptcy was the largest in history until Lehman Brothers failed. Incidentally, Lehman Brothers was also involved in carbon trading.

While I can’t speak for the global warming bunch, I will speak for the medical ‘experts’ who have been DEAD WRONG when it comes to what people should be eating. Specifically, they told us to NOT eat red meat - totally wrong, and they told us to load up on carbs - totally wrong, and it’s why we have the obesity / diabetes epidemic.
So why don’t they come clean? A (very) few have, and they admit that they were killing their own patients (Tim Noakes, being the most prominent).
But the vast majority of people in the medical and nutritional fields STILL give lethal advice to their patients (such as saying it’s ok to eat carbs if they have diabetes, as long as they’re ‘healthy carbs’. Good morning, there are no ‘healthy carbs’ for diabetics, they’re all lethal)
Anyway, there are many reasons they resist telling the truth - here are a few:
1) The GOVERNMENT still says that red meat is bad and that some carbs are good.
2) Given that, insurers and medical groups will follow the government, as that pretty much prevents people from suing them.
3) With insurers and medical groups following the government, doctors who want to continue to practice have little choice, so they follow the government. Resistance is very risky in that area.
As to the government motivations to continue this lie to the public:
1) Influence of Leftist groups, including animal rights types and vegetarians.
2) Influence of AOC types, who think the world will end due to methane suffocation, if another cow farts.
3) The Deep State NEVER admitting it was wrong, on anything.
Other Factors:
1) How does a doctor explain to his patients that his advice over the years, or decades, is killing those patients?
2) How does a doctor live with that thought? By simply ignoring it...the recent science and the studies must be wrong, and the untested/unproven theories of the past must still be ‘right’.
As to ‘climate change’ - probably a lot of the same. The professors got duped by the left, and rather than ADMIT they were duped, they continue to push the lie. Much easier than looking like idiots.
Gosh, it's almost enough to make one wonder who really paid for the hatchet job done to chlorofluorocarbons, an inert gas used for cooling but long out of patent.

In prehistoric times CO2 was times of what it is now and life flourished.
I have no doubt they are being paid off. GW research is a huge gravy train. There is nothing morally special about scientists. No doubt some of them will prostitute themselves out faster than any professional escort.
They don’t need to be paid. Being leftists, they are ready and willing to lie for the cause.
I also think the importance of the role of professors is being overestimated here.
