If it isn't wacky enough that Nike instantly caved to Colin Kaepernick when he objected to the Betsy Ross flag design on their shoes as somehow being a racist symbol, CBS News also hyped this PC insanity as being somehow rational.

Years ago I told my friends, family, and co-workers that the attacks on the Confederate flag were just the beginning and that what the real target was the US flag and all of US history prior to about 2000.

It is just demonization of white people. Anything white people tend to like will be portrayed as racist. This is the politics of division on full display. They have even gotten some whites to hate themselves and be ashamed of their race. Since the ‘60s, anyone claiming any fondness of being white has been pilloried as a racist, while others are steadfastly encouraged to declare their pride in their race or ethnicity. Soon we’re going to have to really give them something to whine about.
The CBS This morning newsboy today lamented the D.C. fireworks as “Long and extravagant”, Oh The Huge Manatee, the nerve of us celebrating our Freedoms while the media who hate our Country are forced to watch.
Betsy Ross was a Quaker, and thus an abolitionist.
In fact, the Quaker church pretty much spearheaded ending slavery in England and ultimately the USA.
One has to be unbelievably stupid to think her flag could be a symbol of racism.

Agreed, and obvious to anyone who knows just a little history is that the flag represented the first 13 states of the United States, the number of stars were added on later flags to represent each state.
This has nothing to do with anything more than the inclusion and representation of each state of the United States.
But then, you would have to know an itsy bitsy bit of history, learned in 2nd grade to know this.
If I recall. Betsy Ross drove the School Bus that Shotgun Joe Biden the Groping Pedo was forced to ride on as a Child.

The word “racist” no longer has any meaning.
The left have turned it into a weapon to use against their opponents. It is a club, nothing more. When you hear something is “racist” think of it as “crap”

Did you think it would stop with the Columbus statues? It was never going to stop there. That was just the start. It moved on to past presidents and now encompasses all the icons of this country’s greatness.

Well, American history is well taught in Israeli elementary schools, which is where I learned it.
In particular, your rather fine history of being influenced well by good religious people.
