I know that Glenn Beck is not the most popular guy here, but he is a great story teller, and it's a Halloween tradition for him to play his reading of Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart."
It's worth listening to.

I think George Costanza was forced to watch “The Muted Heart”.
For musicals, it’s hard to beat “Rochelle, Rochelle”.
Unless the actress breaks a shoelace.

And personally, I prefer “The Masque of the Red Death” with the amazing Vincent Price. (Dr. Phibes is on right now)

I heard part of this this morning. I had to turn the channel because Beck’s voice is like nails scraping a chalkboard to me.

Ive heard Becks reading, and it pales in comparison with the performance of a local actor who enacts it several times a night at Greenfield Village in Dearborn during their annual Halloween weekend events.
Weve marveled at this mans talent several times Ive the past 10 years or so. His few minutes work is worth the price of admission.

I remember “The Chicken Heart” from my youth. Bill Cosby IIRC.

Go with Bill Cosby’s “Chicken Heart that ate New York City”.
