Food for thought. The anonymous Op Ed Published in the New York Times was reported as a Senior official in the Administration. Woodward was gathering sources inside the Admin and undoubtedly talked to this person. When you read the editorial, it sounds just like Woodward. The fact that it was published when Woodward's book was published makes me wonder if he wrote it. Follow the money. (It is not the first time a dishonest media collaborated with a dishonest author.) Any other thoughts? Everyone gives the times the benefit of the doubt that it is real. I would never do that.
Could it be a composite of Woodwards book set in editorial style and published as such? Hmmmm!!!!!
“Everyone gives the times the benefit of the doubt that it is real.....”
The responses to my posts indicate that’s not at all true. Many Freepers don’t believe the op-ed at all.
I have it on good authority that it was written by Mark Felt.
I was just thinking the same thing today! What a coincidence with the book release.
My first thought that it was a fake “insider”.
I don’t know if Bob Woodward wrote it, but I do know that this ‘anonymous op-ed’ ploy is very likely fake.
Even if the NYT hadn’t already participated in a whole bunch of fake news stories about PDJT (and many other things over the years), there are just too many ways this ploy is irresistible to them.
There is no down side, all up side as far as they (and their deep-state funding sources) are concerned.
It’s not going to convince anyone of anything, or change anyone’s mind about where they stand. It’s just more MSM-Democrat noise, designed to confuse and create uncertainty.
I was thinking it might be Kellyanne Conway’s husband.
I think it’s someone else who is still burning about a confirmation process that should have resulted in unanimous approval of his position, who also has loads of friends who came into this administration, many of whom are embedded in state.
And someone who’d get most people to say ‘who?’
I posted yesterday that I thought it was written by someone who was a leaker for Woodward’s book and that the op-ed writer, Woodward and the NY Times did this stunt as a team.
Who benefits if Pence is disgraced (the wording some said points to him) and the haters find a way to remove President Trump from office? The timing? Who would lose that benefit after the November elections? This is 100% crazy conspiracy theory on my part.

William Casey
Mike Pence should come forward and say he wrote the entire article as a joke just to see if the newspaper was dumb enough to publish complete made up trash.
What are they going to do? Deny it? Thats what someone caught in an embarrassing situation would do. OR they give out the name of the real person who wrote it and thus reveal their source.
I really think the whole thing is bogus crap from the Times. I also think (and hope) that this just brings more support for Trump. American people don't like rats...especially lying ones.
To be honest, I would not be totally surprised if Mr. Trump wrote if himself, or had it written for his final edit. Just to throw reporters into a tangle for a couple of days so that he could get other work done with less distraction.
“One hot piece of buttered Focaccia bread, smothered in honey, comin’ up! Here come all the flies, spiders rats and roaches, just as we predicted!”
I don’t care for nor trust Pence, but something like this would be beneath him. To be honest, it would be beneath anyone highly-placed in the WH. It has the strong odor of BS about it.
Hmmmmm...you’re on to something!
I didn’t read the op ed but Woodward writing it was my 1st thought. That is just because the portrayals of his book and the editorial seem to have that real mean streak, like murderers who go for overkill.
“Woodward was gathering sources inside the Admin and undoubtedly talked to this person.”
Strike gathering and insert inventing.
Still believe it is a pieced up editorial by their newsdesk which coincidentally followed up Woodward’s book. Woodward = Washington Post. NYT want their own story.
Having read it again it pretty much follows the EXACT same themes any other “anonymous source” article goes with against Trump (ill-informed, erratic, loose canon etc), except they list what is essentially a few bullet points of achievements (which are in spite of the president rather than because of him) to make people think they really are on the inside and more importantly rather than a journalist citing an anonymous source they are writing as the anonymous source. Who doesn’t exist.
