If you listen to those bursts, they aren't from guns with bump stocks. Bump stocks are impossible to keep going in long, uninterrupted bursts. You might get three or four in a row, then another three or four, then a dozen.

Those bursts are from automatic rifles.

Police can get confuse as easily as anyone else.

There are numerous ways that a single burst of gunfire can sound like more than that, to include echoes, as well as the bullets themselves impacting hard materials such as concrete at the point of impact.

Simply because some cop blurts something out in the heat of the moment doesn't mean it's true. Jeez. Everyone knows this, and such inaccurate information is sprayed out over the airwaves in virtually every incident...

That might have been the switching guns and windows thing. Different angles making different sounds.

I listened to 8 minutes of gunfire on a video from the scene. The gunfire started and stopped, but at no time did I hear two guns fire at the same time.

I agree with multiple shooters. I was listening to the video last night at the press conference, and there were serve roll the strings of firing at different rates overlapping each other. That was not an echo. Several of the recording’s suggest the same. And I don’t think the sheriff as one example, has explicitly stated there was a single shooter

I still wonder about the sheriffs comment, that he has a suspect in custody. No one questioned him on that, but does that mean he has a live suspect, or was that his way of referring to the dead guy?
